harvesting lots of capacitors to build a gauss gun. Insane...
not quite insane when he needs the gauss gun to protect his backyard from being invaded by the government...
i did enjoy how he prepared his website from the slashdot invasion.
There's a bank being built in my neighborhood. Its about 40% the way to being completed. Its got form, you can tell what it might eventually look like, its somewhat habitable. Now I bet a panel that looked over the bank at this moment would say that it is not 'finacially-driven.' Much like the ISS not being 'scientifically-driven' at its current state.
oh, and I just have to complain: 2002-07-11 14:52:58 Panel: space station not 'science-driven' (articles, science) (rejected)
Complete build of win2k time is 8hrs on 4way PIII and requires 50GB of hard drive space Is it just me or doesn't something just as strong at Win2K, say like Linux, not take quite as much to build?
Spielberg and Lucus make up in eachother what the other lacks. They could really make an awesome movie if they worked for it. Come on Lucus, go out with a bang on Episode III.
CD's have been around about as long as myself(and yes I can legally drink), without much change in that time. For me, DVDs became the VHS movie and more, making it worthwhile. Though the CD has always been the same thing, though they could try to market better the DVD audio, which gives you the CD and more, which in turn makes it worthwhile again.
On the other hand, there's really not that much music that I enjoy that is under control of the RIAA.
the fiasco was the few years before Y2K when we found the problem and had to spend a ton of money to make sure we could make it through
isn't this kind of attitude of "it works, leave it alone" that gave us that Y2K fiasco?
then again we have the "it doesn't work, lets make it better" attitude that gave us Windows, so its your choice of the lesser of two evils
Slashdot has the scoop of the launch right here
and I was all excited that Slashdot might have actually done some real investigative journalism, oh well, another post

...for how many Dr. Evil "laser beam" posts we're going to get today
plus, in a humvee? "laser beams" belong on the moon
Now how many Judges out there should take this?
Now, if we could just get this kind of settlement for all the crap in my inbox I could stay unemployed forever
in the mean-time I will continue to invest in e-mail storage solutions and spambot technology
the problem with my tax dollars being spend on this is that when it doesn't work on my system, I can't return it for a refund
or bicycles? I know the 50 miles is easily do-able, but that 65 mph might be a little tough at times...

My way to trim the pounds: Still pumped from using the mouse
...now it all makes sense, I think...
actually did they make sure to note wether the short-tempered gamers were using a windoze box or not?
"I see" said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw.
...for saving the honeypot, your own poohbear doll
Will Earth Expire By 2050?
Yes, because if you check the warrenty, the warrenty expires in 2049
Too bad mod chip companies can't go public (without lawsuit lashings) cuz stuff like this always would mean spikes in stocks
So are you saying there is more to it than woo'ing audiences with flashy PowerPoint(tm) shows?
Ooo... That much closer to the sweetness of $200,000.
But I'm sure that they're all in it just for the experience....
This experiment shortly followed by a another showing how fast they could move MP3 collections
looks like a fun project if you have a pile of legos and a 4-day weekend ;)
I wish I got the 4 day weekend too...
sites I'll have to wait until tomarrow to check, thanks to the slashdot effect.
(wink wink.. mirrors)
