>>> Why are mainstream game publishers run by such douche bags? >> You haven't seen anything yet. > Yeah.
Almost similar. Except that you don't have to pay to participate. You get an edge by paying.. now for GH I'm not even sure how they distribute user tracks, but if the company made a way for it to work in game and seamlessly (I saw people burning discs to play customs....) then it would definitally be cool - but paying for *all* access would be lame. Paying to get some tracks earlier would add privilege. But maybe that segment is used to paying for.. every.. little.. thing when it comes to online content.
The way he said it though. It just sounded matter of factly, kind of disgusting.
So will scanners that can monitor 1575.42 (the GPS frequency) be outlawed?
In the 90's, drug dealers used cellular phones (and probably cordless, too...) but as it became apparent that they werent secure, these 'one time use' prepaid cell phones became popular..
What will the criminals do to circumvent this? A scanner could be had relatively cheaply.
In terms of privacy issues, it seems like there are a number of cases where this was very useful, and indeed did catch a criminal. However, being suspicious of people with power, and especially of cops with high school diplomas, it seems very easy for it to be abused - GPS transmitters for consumers are pretty cheap, and for the police it might become so commonplace that they could use it on *anyone*..
"I don't like that guys looks.. I'm going to throw GPS 443 on him and see where he goes.."
Maybe devices that jam 1575.42 will be created. Or devices that send out false information. I found little about this in a cursory google search, does anyone else have any more information on this?
Oh. And if I found one, its either getting dissected, or sold on ebay in another country.. But how many criminals will think (or have thought, since they seem to have been doing this for several years now...) to check their car for locators?
Man, the future will be way more futuristic than we previously envisioned..
Hey man, first off, let me say, Mr Mozilla, that I love your software; the last time there was a big upgrade and I couldn't afford the cost of the bandwidth, I sold one of my children.
Yea, so anyway, before I switched to Firefox I used Opera; and even though I fully believe in a majority of standard software being open source, opera compelled me with one major feature: The Ability To Zoom The Entire Page to Size.
The other day I was accidentially using Internet Exploder, and the internet exploded, but thats another story, after the patch orgy I noticed that it had similar functionality! I was blown away; it worked well, but then I remembered that Opera was the only browser with full resume support for downloaded files.
So all I'm saying is that I write code like you guys, only in english, and its write once execute once or twice, and I have no responsibilities, but I tell anyone I contact about you, and wish you well, and wish your interface was less blocky and more new-agey! maybe half way!
Anyway. choice is good; especially when its an alternative between the rock and the hard place. Or an update and (another) kid.
They could just waltz down the street, ask a shady guy in an alley for a few more hours of computing time, then waltz right back home in a matter of minutes, being rewarded with more time in less time than it takes to boot up a windows pc (which is coincidentally left on all day unmonitored).
Why is it, that everything we have discovered thus far, is taken as concrete fact, until something else is discovered? How can such brazen destruction of the natural environment be taken in vain, until some new "scientific discovery" comes about, saying how (obviously) destructive the past ways have been.. Oh, I don't expect any notice to be said, until the world is on the brink of extinction..
Seems we keep going forward, until we get the chance to look back and see, that the guys living in the bushes, had it all worked out, and had been here before, with the gadgets, and the great disconnection from the earth, living in their heads, and had been close to total elimination of the species, and had just went "Hmm, maybe we don't need cell phones.."
Just a general outlash on all the stupidity of the recent "scientific" "discoveries" posted here. Such crap.

Isn't that how they initially became Americans in the first place? (ducks)

Now a PSP can be more like an internet tablet..
fixed that for ya.
Well since you're going to bring up gaming systems, what about a PSP with a foldaway keyboard?
(and a u.fl pigtail, connected to a cantenna... but I digress.)
I don't want to get *too* into it, but I'm talking about how instant messaging makes *money*.
Will the big three instant messaging providers use it?
Less overhead means things like this will be easier.
The problem is if none of the popular services utilize the protocol, it will make no money.

I wonder how hes going to turn that $20k into $100k so he can actually get a college degree.

nice change of terminology there. quite refreshing, fraudsters . .. . .
How could something that should change the world just .. disappear ..
Not well known enough, I guess.
