    Remember that the first industrial-strenght implementation of a Linux system on the mainframe has been a joint effor by SySE and IBM.

    The s390 source tree in the linux kernel was developed at the IBM Research Lab at Boeblingen (Germany) around 1999.

    It's called lobbying.

    Big companies talks to politican and tells him: "We know our business better than you.
    - P2P is bad for the public in gerneral and bad for my business.
    - Terrorist use P2P to coordinate their attacks.
    - P2P is used for distributing kiddie porn, P2P Software comes from shady sources.
    - These are bundeled with spyware and zombie bots to attack other websites.
    - What about $2000 I spend for your reelection champaign?

    It's okay to show the victims of a massacre or gang fight in the afternoons or to show a dress with sperm stains of a president - but please no nipples befor 10pm! These nipples could hurt the feelings of some people.

    There is always something that will hurt other people. Driving too fast, driving too slow, eating too much,....

    If you buy an audio CD-R (8 Euro) you pay royalties to the GEMA (society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights). That's about 16 Euros or about $20 (+labeling) for this PR stunt.

    Normal CD-R cost only 0.40 Euro that's about $1 (+labeling) for the 2 CD-R included in this CD.
