Masonux is a Ubuntu mod with minimal stuff - but has Synaptic on it so guys like me can install just what they want. Small image, small HD footprint. Crap free!
When checking out cases about 6 years ago, I got turned on to the PC-6 case. Couldn't afford a PC-7 (with a snazzy removable motherboard tray) but I liked the idea of an all-aluminum case.
To date, the only hardware that has stayed constant throughout my changes is my floppy drive - and my case. I recently broke out the dremel and added a blowhole to the top of the case to compensate for the elevated temps that my new x850XT puts out, but when gaming hard my temps never get above 35c (95f)
It's still as solid as the day I got it - and it's not going anywhere soon.

Don't cooperate with the police. Never talk to them. Let them wonder. Let them find out by themselves that you're up to nothing bad. Bog them down. Let them think that EVERY civilian is suspect.
I saw some police training videos on this once, stating the same thing. At least I think it was the same thing. It was hard to understand, seeing as how it was from the early 40's, in GERMAN.
The only problem with this piece of equipment that I can tell, is one part breaks, you lose them all while you fix it - or get it fixed. I learned my lesson when i got one of the first TV-VCR combos that came out. The VCR died - and suddenly i was left without either for that period of time it took to get a replacement.
Gimme a good ol' frankensteiner machine - modular, easy to deal with, and while cantankerous at times, customizable to what I need - not what the manufacturer says I should have.
BIGstan threws uup hiz hends it hes lowsey tyipng skilllz,.
The PS2 is going to die off, as well. The huddled masses want games now, good games, in large quantity. But first you have to have enough equipment to create the market for the games - the games that are available might be big, bright, and beautiful, but without a console to play them on, they sit on a shelf, collecting dust. One of the DC's major selling points - online gaming(!) - wasn't even available until the console had been out for months. Lackluster game sales, games that are more eyecandy than actual gaming, and slow-to-appear features have all contributed to the fall of the consoles.
My store sells maybe 1-2 PS2 games a day, same with the DC. Compare that to the 10ish games we sell per day for the PS1. That console did well - but it also came in at a time when it was top of the line, and had no major competetors.
I still debate buying one - if my roomates didnt have 4 between the three of them.:)
I also moonlight for a retail toy store in addition to being a corporate slave, and was there when the initial systems came. There were 5 (or 6) games available, extra controllers were expensive, and the other accessories were worse - although much cooler than any of its "competetors" at the time. Games were slow to come at first, and by the time 3rd party eq. came out for it, people in general were choosing to go back to the PlayStation. For the graphics' sake, I wish it had held on longer, but it was doomed from the beginning. I might buy one for the Soul Caliber aspect, but i'll just stick with my comp for entertainment for now.

would cry out in terror... silently.
Except for the calls to their ISPs...
Our help desk uses VOIP. We couldn't hear you scream.

That proves it - he's for real.
Wow.
No karma for you.
Go to Allway Tools and check out this baby.
magnetized head, bit-holding handle, and it is small enough that it fits in your pocket, but large enough that it gets the job done easily.

As an AMD user, I don't have to worry about such things.
Of course, I don't ever have to worry about heating my house, either.
Now they're gonna find out about that copy of Winnie the Pooh that's been overdue for 27 years.
Is this gonna make it a Federal offence?
I can't spot a single sympathetic comment. Most of us are all laughing at this guy's death in some kind of cynical Darwinistic smugness.
These comments are nothing but sympathetic. (with a few exceptions, most of which are -1 Troll)
Look a little deeper. Behind the humor and sarcasm is the thought "There, but for the grace of God, go I."
