  1. Except for that forced 10 second delay whenever I try to visit netflix.com

  2. "...arrested him for theft in December 2018. Qin was given a jail term of ten and a half years, and on appeal, the sentence was upheld."

Arrested, tried, convicted, sentenced and appealed all in a little over two months?

The justice system works swiftly in China.

  3. This isn't the airspace you're looking for... on FBI Confiscates Six Drones Near Super Bowl Stadium (reuters.com) · · Score: 1

People will be operating drones in that airspace at that time, not because they want
to break the law, but because they have no idea what a NOTAM or TFR is.
Commercial and/or licensed operators will hopefully be cluefull of their situation.

  5. Copyright and Trademark in Italy on Samsung Embarrassingly Partners With Fake Supreme (droid-life.com) · · Score: 1, Interesting

Copyright and Trademark laws in Italy are very interesting, in that I don't think anybody there knows that they exist. And they're certainly not enforced.

If you've ever been to Italy and see an Italian school bus, and you have any concept of western copyright/trademark law, you'll instantly ask yourself when was the last time you saw a school bus painted with an array of Disney and Warner Bros. characters.

  6. No. We're fucked. Next question.

I mean, come on. We have an alleged criminal in charge of the Executive Branch of the US Government.

One of his most successful job functions has been to get former Verizon executives into high level government positions.

And no one (past/present/future) at the big three telcos (AT&T, Verizon, Comcast) gives one goddamned fuck about you, your neighbor, or any other human being on this little dust ball we call home.

  7. First time in quite a while with a story about the far side of the Moon and not the "dark side" of the Moon.

Good job, you guys appear to be actually learning!

  10. KeyTronic E03601U1 on Ask Slashdot: What Kind of Keyboard Do You Use With Your Computer and Why? · · Score: 2

Allow me to introduce you to the KeyTronic E03601U1 full size 104 normal keys keyboard. Durable and reliable. Full size keys that don't have quite the pop/click of the old IBM lead monsters, but you'll know that you've hit the key. It's wired USB so you never have to worry about batteries dying. It does have a Windows key, but most non-Windows OS have a switch to control that key somewhere in the OS interface settings, so not sure why that would be an issue.

  15. Thanks for the clarification. Had no idea that when McCord became a joint base it lost it's entire ability to be a Base to project a Force into the Air, or, you know, an "Air Force Base".

  16. My question is why were they scrambled out of Portland, almost 200 miles to the South, and not out of McCord where the incident was taking place?

Too bad the reporter, editor, submitter and  msmash don't know anything about the Moon.
