the Signum Data and Hush systems do seem almost identical. I noticed the Signum Data design over a year ago and have since been hoping that something like it would become available in the US.
One difference is that the Signum Data P4 box has air holes on the top but the Hush pc case is completely closed... so it may be impervious to dust as well as noise.
the wheel is uncomfortable for clicking or any frequent use as a button. a middle mouse button is critical in in apps like Maya and useful for quick pasting in shell windows.
this mouse is not optical and it's not cheap. but the pricing ($90-$140) shows how rare good 3 button mice have become.
Le Corbusier's Villa Savoy is, for me, the most comfortable and 'nice' house i've ever been inside of.
some people like tradition and nostalgia. other people are always trying to subvert it. you will never find a 'pattern language' that will not be ultimately subverted. our nature is to reinvent our cutlural forms. and architecure is primarily a cultural practice, not a scientific one.
apple's optical "pro mouse" has lousy tracking and the cord is too short. i find it very difficult to work with, but maybe i'm used to moving my mouse too quickly. otherwise, the design is great.
Go to Google and type in "french military victories" and then click on "I'm Feeling Lucky."

this site is a testament to their quality of service.

maybe someone at MS was impressed by the cool gassy names the SGI Octane, O2, and Fuel but the best they could come up with was Freon.
Freon seems much more passive than the sgi names. but it is for couch-potatoes after all..
