Oh the irony. How many countries has the US skewered because they refused to play the "we're bigger than you, give us your resources" game. Now the hat's on the other foot and "lock them out of our market" is the new strategy?

Strange that you couldn't find one to buy, when I signed up with Rogers, there was no rental option. I had to buy the modem.

I'm using the "Rogers portable internet" service as we speak (write) and I have nothing but praise for it. Speed is acceptable for what I need, and the whole signup and install could not have been easier. Really. walked to the Rogers store, 2 plugs on the back of the thing, ipconfig /renew and there it was.

However, class, today will will learn that competition comprises fairness. Take classic examples of competition such as the Olympics, or F1. We do not allow one competitor an advantage over another, such as the taking of steroids. Nor do women and men compete in the same event. For the same reason, there are strict rules governing F1 competitions, the more even the playing field, the more competitive it is.

When walmart sells products at "good prices" who is paying for the difference? The NA sales associates who make $14,000/yr, the chinese factory workers who make $3/week to maintain it's multi-billion dollar profit - that's who. Wallmart employs near-slave labour to promote it's cheap products. No one can compete with that unless they do the same. The fact that walmart gets away with it is a testament to loopholes and the old boys club.

Your post is a little naive. "Look I can buy my toothbrush for $.10 cheaper over here - must be good!"

Aside from the fact that Walmart is known to enforce it's white-trash traditionalist christian views on it's employees, customers and suppliers, Walmart isn't about fair competition. It is about monopolistic bullying. They can and do anything they want.

To me the definition of "classic" is old and tired. I listen to music 10 hours a day and I have a hard enough time listening to music that I have had for 6 months never mind 20 years!!!! Needless to say, having the original CD is completely useless to me. My car, my home, my computer, all play mp3s. CDs just take up space and are not easily searchable.

God, I was over my 'the who' and 'rolling stones' phase when I was 16, why would I want to listen to that again?

Plato's point was that THIS life (the first one, not the second) is the shadow and only the enlightened may know the true nature of life. Are you referring to a shadow of a shadow? Or maybe the second life is reality?

Why try to convince others? You live as you will, and others can waste their time and live to regret it when they are 80, or maybe not.
