No refund is a good idea. Of course, if you're like me then it's a forced annual savings plan. I'm more likely to put my refund towards higher interest debt than the extra little bit each paycheck.
Just because I know what I should do, doesn't mean I do it.
[blockquote]How about hoping to stay alive? I am pretty sure most people have that. Kind of throws your whole argument out into the realm of pseudoscience, neh?[/blockquote]
No and I'm an atheist. Hoping to stay alive is a hope in one's self and chance. Since the person in a POW camp has been shown that they are powerless, they lose that hope. Chance of rescue in a POW camp is also slight, so they lose that hope. If their army is a mile away and they know that then there hope of rescue would be greater. Hope in a god is the belief in an powerful entity. While a god might not get you out of the situation, generally everything has an overall plan or it will be sorted out in the next life.
If you don't believe in a god, just think of it as a mental trick to help with the mind over matter idea.
That would have to be a major play for Dell to step up to Apple's niche. I could see them paying to support a specific distro to ensure compatibility with their systems. In the long run, if the OS side doesn't pan out then there's less baggage if Dell stops paying for Linux X compared to Dell abandoning their own branded OS.
I sent several letters about purchasing "licensing agreements" to distributors. If they pay, I won't release their IP on P2P networks. Needless to say, I have not received any payments so far.
Umm, ok. I'm not sure how that applies to what I said. Sure, the price will come down and there will be more players in the FUTURE. Currently, there aren't enough players and the price is too high to declare Blu-Ray or HD-DVD the winner. I also remember mini disc and laser disc. Those were expensive when they came out. While they were expensive when they came out, both faltered when it came to becoming common in the average household. The industry should have learned from DVDs that settling on a standard is a good idea.
Personally, I just want a version of Office that doesn't think it's smarter than me. For the most part, I have simple needs and wants when it comes to documents. Sometimes, I have to fight Office to do simplistic tasks and that is more frustrating than not being able to do a complicated task.
Depends on the politics, but ideally they would include it due to the fact it would be the last supply of seeds. Using marijuana, opium, etc. as a medical supplies is better than not having medical supplies.

I'm waiting on my $43 million dollar check so I can spend it on breeding facilities in Africa for Gambusia and fathead minnows or some local equivalent. Or hookers and windmills because Africans are poor and poor people suck!
Sony Portable Reader System PRS-500 is $350. That's without actually paying for the books. The couple of sites I've looked at recently have ebooks ranging in the $7-8 around the price of a paperback. That's another 50 or so books that you could have bought instead of the e-reader. You can pick up new hardcover books from Amazon's other sellers dirt cheap after a book has been out for awhile. There's about 50 sellers that have Davinci Code Hardcover for $7.50 shipped. I've never found a e-reader that justified its price. Since they haven't met the first criteria, I've never had to worry about whether or not DRM was used. I've read plenty of ebooks though on the computer. There are plenty of legal and illegal sources of free ebooks on the internet. http://www.baen.com/library/ has over 90 free books in various formats including RTF.
A degree would be worthwile to get. Is it better than your 20 years experience? No. It will broaden your horizons some and shows future employers that you are always willing to learn more. Certifications and degrees show that you're willing to adapt, not just do a job blindfolded because you've been doing it for 20 years. A lot of majors vary by only a few classes, so do some investigation on the differences. Look at your different options for schools too. I know several people who have completed their degrees online or at night while working full-time and had their employer pick up the bill as long as it was job-related.

Actually, it's an OEM license. I called once on an OEM license that wouldn't activate through the automated system. The operator told me that it was OEM and he couldn't help me, talk to the manufacturer.
Here's what did work for me. I was in the call area of the activation, at the bottom was a change code button. I hit that, re-entered the code then went back to the automated part and it worked. Trust me, it was no typo on the code the first time. YMMV

Yeah, it's back. Unfortunately, it's RSIBreak today. I was hoping for something useful.

Just tried to try it. It would not connect to Insight. Unless it gets larger after connection, that is a pretty small window.

Why does everyone insist that it doesn't come with an OS? It clearly states that it comes with FreeDOS.

Sweet, let me run down to Best Buy and buy a Blu-Ray player.
Let's see
PS3 $599
Sony $999
Samsung $799
LG $1199 (which also plays HD-DVD)
Hmmm, maybe they should get some more players on the market before declaring victory. Also get the price down to the $200-300 range.

Flushed Away's problem was a $149 million dollar budget. Add advertising and it maybe broke even worldwide.

Curse of the Were-rabbit had a built-in audience and made $22 million less worldwide, but only cost $30 million.
Who was the moron that thought $149 million dollars was a good idea?
