Actually the ram is not what is causing the problem, its the motherboard, chipset and processor. To run at PC3700 (non standard by the way) speeds means that everything else has to be tweaked as well. There are no guarantees that PC3700 memory will work on certain motherboards and chipsets. The memory maybe rated to that level but thats the only thing that is.
PC3700 isn't a standard speed. The only way to get that speed is via overclocking which voids your warrenty. So basically you are saying that you can't get your PC to use memory that it isn't rated for but you blame the memory maker?
I don't think anyone is saying it would be impossible. But if you are going to have backward compatibility you better make sure it plays as fast as the original. With emulation you take a HUGE hit in speed. You may be running windows you your powerbook (I did also in the past), but to do anything but really basic applications you would encounter a massive speed penalty.
Virtual Game Station was really cool as well, but there also you took speed hits because of emulation.
The point being, if its not full xbox1 speeds of xbox1 games on an xbox2, then it is pointless to even include it as a feature.
Thats exactly right. Going to the movies is supposed to be a fun event. There is plenty of fun to be had in cheesy movies. When I go to see a movie I want to be entertained. Way too many people look at movies and take it way too seriously.
Even movies that are flat out bad can be watched in such a state of mind that one can find fun in them (without chemical influences of course).
hindsight indeed. At the time the only thing that was known was that 2 planes had hit the towers. They didn't know right away that it was hijackings or an attack. And how do you know that he didn't tell the message giver an order to tell someone else?
The point is that Moore is twisting reality to serve his purpose by not telling the ENTIRE story.
"Does any of that matter a lot to me? No, Once I saw GWB in his Tux say:
Here I am with the 'haves' [dramatic pause] and the 'have mores'. Some call you the elite [dramatic pause] I call you 'My Base'"
Just like Moore that is taken out of context. It was said at a political roast of sorts. You know when they get up, make jokes and rag on each other to raise money? Comedians do it all the time when they roast each other.
I'm sure there is a quote somewhere that has Bush saying something like "I have gas." But the full quote might have been, "I have gas in my tractor for my ranch in texas now." Or something stupid. (for those of you idiots out there i don't have a clue if this was ever said, just an example of taking a perfectly normal statement out of context to be used by an idiot).
They do this all the time in movie reviews. A reviewer will say sometime like "This movie is the absolute best at being horrible." But the poster will just say "This movie is the absolute best..."
What the hell was he supposed to do? Jump up, have secret service grab him and rush off to an awaiting helicoptor in the school parking lot? Scare the kids, parents and the entire nation half to death?
There were no nuclear missles inbound. There wasn't anything happening that would have destroyed the entire country. The situation was in progress and being taken care of. Being the President is not about jumping up at every bump. There is also a presentation aspect of showing strength and courage when under a scarey situation.
If he would have rushed out of the room at the arms of the secret service he would have been criticized for scaring the hell out of the entire school.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Michael Moore is a liar, its as simple as that. He took facts and twisted and turned them through clever editing to make his own timelines and make up his own "facts".
It's proven. It's not a documentary, it's a movie. Entertaining or not is left up to personal taste.
The article says they are without pour and don't know when they can make repairs. Does that mean they will be closed to tourists next week? I'm hoping to visit while I'm down in the area. I can't find info on the website. Guess I'll have to look later in the week.
Salary may be nice for what you are going for but wait until you see how much the cost of living is there. The salary won't look so great after the realization hits.
The problem isn't about the money its the lack of choice. There are a million other places and ways to distribute a beta or stress test or demo. Yet these companys put it on these fileplanet like locations first because its easy and takes no time. They don't seem to give a damn if it takes forever to download through them and its horribly slow but they want people to buy their end product.
"If they want to install software, tough. They have to go though me first. Just like at work."
yeah I bet your family really loves you. Treating them like your coworkers and being an ass about it. How about instead of being an ass you teach them. Education goes a long way.
Full version works fine. There were other problems with the demo under just XP, and its a really old demo. Not XP's problem.
"Norton Antivirus status is not detected by Security Center. AVG Antivirus is not detected by Security Center"
Why is this a SP2 problem? If you have it installed its installed. I wouldn't call this broken.
"Security Center considers having Automatic Updates set to "Ask Before Installing" a security risk"
it is
I don't know about the rest but just based on the 4 above I bet they aren't really a problem either. People will find things to call "broken" even if something truely isn't broken as long as it makes them feel better about slamming microsoft.
Exactly. Just pointing out the obvious, which a lot of folks don't want to admit to being the truth. I'm not the one who mods me up. I believe a person replying had the right idea, redundant.
Its only a lie if the employee purposely misleads the customer. I'm willing to bet that the employee doesn't know whats in the fine print either.
That doesn't excuse them but it also doesn't excuse the customer from being responsible and reading before they sign. Basically you are saying the employee is still at fault for the customer not reading before they sign. All the customer has to do is flip the page and read it.
Its just like Counter Strike, only better graphics.
As if to say they were expecting a sequel instead of just an update. Everyone and their grandma knows that it is just like CS but better graphics yet all the preview articles seem to start out their previews the same way. Implying they were hoping for something more.
Are they even hitboxes anymore or are they what doom 3 has per pixel hits? Give you the ability to shoot between the legs and not hit anything or shoot over the shoulder, etc?
You figure they could stop all the hitbox complaining by getting rid of them entirely. If you get hit you are really hit, if they miss then they really missed you.

"why aren't our taxes going down?"
Mine did. Tax tables changed, I took more money home. I bought a house, deductable interest, even lower taxes. Don't know what you problem is.

Does this mean I get a coupon or something now?

"But, naah, they need to make consoles that look like toys, not like something that belongs in a A/V rack...."
Thats because they ARE toys. They play GAMES. That is their primary function. Expensive toys, but still just toys.
Thats exactly right. Going to the movies is supposed to be a fun event. There is plenty of fun to be had in cheesy movies. When I go to see a movie I want to be entertained. Way too many people look at movies and take it way too seriously.

""... so those OBGYN's can practice their love on their patients...""
And Kerry in the same day getting a "gift" of a shotgun that he voted for having banned.
If you're going to rip on one side, at least to have the decency to rip on both sides.
So who you going to vote for? Nadar? That guy is more of a crazy wack job than the other 2.

The amount of whitespace you consumed in your little rant used up as much energy as any chinese nuclear plant could hope to produce.

Do you never wash your hands? Geez. I've had my 700 for quite awhile and it still looks like new.
What is being preloaded is the artwork. That was takes up most of the space anyways.

Really folks. Microsoft slamming is so 1990's.
Exactly. Just pointing out the obvious, which a lot of folks don't want to admit to being the truth. I'm not the one who mods me up. I believe a person replying had the right idea, redundant.

Hence, the customer is not always right.
No but everyone is saying something like:
Its just like Counter Strike, only better graphics.
As if to say they were expecting a sequel instead of just an update. Everyone and their grandma knows that it is just like CS but better graphics yet all the preview articles seem to start out their previews the same way. Implying they were hoping for something more.
