  7. The obvious match would be a logic + memory chip hooked into a serial firmware ROM (EEPROM/Flash whatever) data and clock path. This need only cause some kind of vulnerability that is unlikely to be triggered unintentionally but can be triggered remotely with a series of events (data packages most likely) - very hard to detect in a live system.

I still think this is either FUD or deliberate disinformation from some security group with some unknown agenda.

There are plenty of examples of plants that have been historically eaten by people known to contain toxins and other dangers (some plants accumulate heavy metals for instance). In fact some traditional plants are directly lethal if not handled correctly e.g. cassava. Natural doesn't mean anything and being traditionally used should mean little until proven reasonable safe.

Imagine if we had the promises of hypertext fulfilled instead of the web of today. Using some site on a phone? You can't do everything, some features are simply gone. Using some site on a large screen desktop computer? Sadly most users access the site on phones and now everything is an infinite scrolling list of phone friendly icons instead pagination and real descriptions. Don't know exactly what you are searching for - you have to scroll until you find it or get bored.
