    They did it already. See Astronaut Barbie, or Working Girl Barbie (comes with a toy laptop and says "Saving money is fun!"), President Barbie, and Talk With Me Barbie, which hooks up an IR transmitter to a serial port on my, uh, the girl's PC and transmits to the doll, making it say all sorts of things.

    I'm still waitng for Hacker Barbie. I bet she could kick Harley-Davidson Ken's ass.

    If you got a free trial, and it expires (AND STARTS ENDLESSLY BITCHING AT YOU), you can set your system clock back to before the expiration, run Live Update, ignore the error messages, and everything will get updated anyway.

    Pretty lame for a 'security' company.

    Actually, commands on an AS/400 look like CRTUSRPRF, DLTPF, and so forth. If you can't figure out that's CreaTe USer PRoFile and DeLeTe Physical File, you need to study for maybe about 10 minutes.

    Need to do an action? GO VERB. Need to do it to some thing? GO SUBJECT. There is no system simpler to figure out than OS/400.

    You turn can use the lower part of the f000 because it's POST instructions and the BIOS setup stuff. Some BIOSes (MR bios iirc) tell you on POST what you can use. Again, iirc, f000-fb00 was available.

    There are no video ROMS at b000, that is the monochrome display area. Don't write to the screen and you can use it as a UMB.

    I forgot to mention you can only get 992k free on a 286 or greater machine, they can actually address 1088k directly.

    I set up a DOS machine with 992k of free DOS memory. The trick is to redirect command.com to com1 and don't use any programs that use graphics. Also, use DR-DOS, it's smaller than MS-DOS.
