    No - you would quite obviously take a copy of windows 2000 back in time with you to 1998 in order to have 5 years experience by 2003.

    You can't use a public defender in a civil suit. They also can't take what you don't have. Students who seem to be the main targets are basically judgment proof ... they have no assets which can be taken.

    It's not a fine for an illegal act it's civil damages awarded. Generally most judgments are dischargeable ... except for child support, student loans etc.

    Probably has something to do with the fact that your internet connection is already regulated. If states can regulate Voice over internet then what stops them from regulating http, ftp, etc...

    Actually the military / CIA mislead the manager of the shuttle program about the capabilities of the satellites because he didn't have the required security clearance. He therefore determined that the images wouldn't be of sufficient quality to find a possible problem.

    This was in one of the reports from the investigation board.

    That sounds more or less ... backwards I believe that actually the fusion reaction is triggered first releasing masses of neutrons which trigger the fission reaction in the PU surrounding the core.

    And a neutron bomb is the same thing without the pu.

    The case docket on Pacer shows no such filing, although yesterday was the deadline for SCO to respond. So maybe it just hasn't been entered in the system yet.

    No minors can't or technically debts can't be enforced against minors. Some states make parents responsible for some intentional torts like shoplifting or vandalism but I've never heard of any state making parents responsible for a minor's copyright infringement. So they have no hope of ever collecting a penny any way.

    With all the NASA bashing going on after the loss of columbia, it should be remembered that while NASA makes the go/no-go decisions. Day to day shuttle maintenance and operation was contracted out (at congress' insistance no doubt) to the United Space Alliance (Boeing and Lockheed Martin). In not sure how the blame for recent events falls between these parties.

    There are sanctions which a judge can impose for failing to produce documents... also as the article says he can tell the jury that MS failed to produce documents which may have helped the other party's case.

    The military/intelligence services had a hand in the imagery issue, because they hadn't cleared the Shuttle Program Manager to be briefed on the spy satellite's capabilities he was operating under the impression that they were unable to image small enough details. I don't remember where I read this but it was in one of the earlier reports.

    You apparently didn't RTF any of the A's .... the point here is precisely that judges aren't issuing the subupoenas, the RIAA is typing them up, having the rubber stamped by a clerk in the wrong court (DC instead of the recipients local court) and then mailing them out. No judge involved.
