People are being pissy, because MS is trying to tell us what client we have to use. Tbis doesn't quite fit in with what has been the spirit of all things internet. I'm sure you'd get pissy if IIS web servers stopped accepting conncetions from all browsers except for the current IE release.

Actually, the courts would probably deny the preliminary injunction on the grounds that any harm that is proven can be remedied by imposing a license fee. This is what happened in the recent Microsoft browser case.

SCO would only be entitled to a preliminary injuction if they could show irreperable harm that would continue if an injuction weren't issued. Bascialy irreperable harm is something that can't be fixed by money.

  5. Re:Obvious answer? on Solving a Wiring Mess? · · Score: 1

Or the reverse .... I recently noticed a grounding problem on some outlets. I followed the wiring back to a little 4 breaker box. When I opened this up I found that the grounds from the circuits wired to that box had been connected together, but weren't connected to the building ground and the metal breaker box was ungrounded too. All of this was right next to the little sticker signed by the electrician (yes a real professional one) who installed it.

I'm past giving a damn what anybody in the industry thinks about anything. While artists / labels etc.. continue to work with the RIAA members I will not be buying their product.

I'm not really into downloading music, but the stand the RIAA has taken along with their "We don't really care what our customers think" attitude really p**sed me off. If they don't care what I think then I don't care to buy their product.

I'll listen to the radio until they find a way to shut that down too (or make people pay to listen).
