It has been known for some time that amd was going to go with socket 939, until 2006. The socket 754 will simply move into the budget category, replacing the xp line.
Recent price drops of athlon 64 3000 make socket 754 solutions attractive price wise.

Easily the best 5 years of SCI FI on television ever. Ok maybe 4, season one was iffy.

My point was simply that your analogy is flawed. It isn't an either or situation.

Even monkeys are bright enough to take food from a sterile wire fram then return to the comfort of a "fake" mother.

  14. Re:If you're going to nit pit, nit pick correctly on No Harm, No Foul in Heavy Net Use · · Score: 1

That is incorrect. No one starved. The monkeys stayed with the wire model just long enough to grab some food, then returned to the other model.

Monkeys might be monkeys but they aren't retarded.

  15. Re:On-line socializing on No Harm, No Foul in Heavy Net Use · · Score: 1

The internet is the fake monkey with fur. The real world is the wire mesh monkey with a bottle. Sure the furry monkey may feel like it's supporting you but you'll just end up depressed and dead.

Not to nit pick but in those studies the monkeys thrived with the furry fake monkeys.
So the real world might indeed be the wire mesh monkey but those monkeys were the ones who ended up not thriving.

So you kind of invalidated your whole point with the incorrect analogy.

Every major industry in the US (and other countries don't get me wrong) is heaviliy subsidized, whether it be through, tax breaks, tarrifs on competing products or outright money giving such as what occurs in the US agricultural industry.

This idea that we some how live in a free market society is trotted out every time people have legitimate complaints about how society is evolving. It isn't true and never has been true.
