I just love trying to use my Consealed Carry permit (NC) to prove who I am. When IBM sold me last month to Sanmina-SCI, the new company refused to accept it as a second form of ID. They said it was for payroll and that I wouldn't get paid unless they got a copy of my SS card. I pointed out that the card fell under Section B, item 2 of the I-9 alternate form of ID. They just repeated their statement that it was for payroll. Since I'm still receiving my pay, I'm assuming that they aren't paying attention to details. Maybe I'll send in a copy of Richard Nixon's SS Card.

First, let me state that I do NOT agree with this bill or any restictive legislation like it. BUT, what would happen if it did pass? I see something akin to prohabition. Restrictive bill gets passed. Restrictive bill is repealed. Noone brings it up again. Roe vs Wade is an almost similar case. The bill's that never get passed never seem to go away.
Not that I can hack or mod or even as this bill would imply, CRACK, but I would if I could just for the sake of it. So they block the internet to 'unsafe' computers. Does that mean pirate net wouldn't happen. I figure that once the MPAA and RIAA see that the technology is as hard to control as the people they'll give up. This about who ended up running the show after prohabition. The son of a boot-legger. (JFK) We might actually need this BS to pass so we can all point our collective fingers at Hollywood and laugh at their failures. You never know, we might end up with a leader who knows what a boot-loader is.

I offered my boss my bonus (~$3000) to fire a freeloader at work. I think the biggest thing about freeloaders is the proof. This woman I wanted gone was late 30min - 1hr every day. Played on the internet only when she wasn't on the phone or doing her homework. She hasn't produced any definable work since she was hired. And in general is the biggest bitch on the planet. The problem is that we have proof of her Freeloading and the punishment is negligible. She's protected by spinless corporate HR reps.(Sorry for the rant.)
Now, I have noticed that people who get labled as freeloaders, tend to think that the word FREE actualy means something.
