Flash isn't a bad platform for retro titles. It's powerful enough to handle 2d graphics and there are no publishers to hold you back. I feel there is still a lot of invovation that can be done with older genres.
The Game Conference is a good example - a roguelike that takes the genre in a new direction.
Look at the Legacy of Kain series, Beyond Good and Evil, Ico, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, Rez, Primal, KOTOR, Whiplash, Crimson Skies, Steel Battalion, the Silent Hill series, etc., and then tell me there are no good games anymore.
If I worked at sony,I don't think using a full DVD disk would be a good idea. First, you can't repackage PS2 games for the system if it can play PS2 games from the get-go. Plus the system would have to be even bigger than it is now.
Sony also wants a format it has complete control over. It's to help stop pirating to some degree... but more for money I'm sure.

Myself and my ADHD fight a lot. Usually during math class.
I find ADHD a very individual syndrome. For instance, I have a lot of energy, which is pretty typical for ADHD. On the other hand, most people with ADHD have problems finishing what they start, but I don't. I suggest reading a book on ADHD like driven to distraction and see what symptons you suffer from.
Would I get rid of my ADHD? Despite all the downsides, it also offers me an amazing amount of creativity. Perhaps one day me and it will come to an understanding.

Sorry, but Origin died a long time ago. It's nothing more than an a part of EA now.
