If your spellchucker is a wizard, the mistake will probably get noticed - Intelligence is the prime stat for a wizard. If your spellchucker is a sorcerer, lots of mistakes will get by, because Charisma isn't good for noticing that sort of thing.
In terms of quality, I've been rather impressed with the "Clone Wars" animated series. Watching that has really stilled more excitement in Star Wars for me. It almost makes me think episode I-III weren't that bad... until I watch them again.
Same here. A couple of months ago, I decided to watch an episode, not expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised - it was quite good! There are still a couple of annoying things, like occasionally re-using the "I have a bad feeling about this" line, but nothing major. Anakin and even Jar-jar are a lot less annoying, too.
I'm an English-speaker who joined a WoW guild which consisted mostly of French-Canadians with varying amounts of English proficiency. It was a good experience - I picked up some French, and they improved their English.
Nobody wants to talk to me about the news, and nobody wants to hear me talk to them about it. But sports? It's/everywhere/, and I have to either study it, or sit there numbly while everybody else bonds and networks around me.
"This above all: to thine own self be true" is advice just as good today as when Shakespeare wrote it.
And seriously, what "annoying disadvantages" are you talking about? I really don't get the CapsLock hatred. How big of a problem can it possibly be?
I guess a lot of people are used to having a Control key where Caps Lock is on a lot of modern keyboards, so they hit it accidentally a lot. My formative years of computer use were on machines with 'Ctrl' to the left of 'A': Apple ][ and Atari 800, and later on it was VT-100, VT-220 and other terminals with a "Ctrl CapsLock ASDF..." layout. Never bothered me to have the Ctrl and Alt keys flanking the space bar on either side, and Caps Lock left of 'A', as on the IBM Model M I'm using now. So, I'm as puzzled as you are:-).
The stupid Windows key on many keyboards bothers me a lot more; I often hit it instead of Ctrl or Alt when I'm using someone else's keyboard.
"Against a Dark Background" could be good. Of the Culture books, probably "Consider Phlebas" would lend itself best o being made a movie - enough explosions and action to keep people interested.
It could merely have been a particularly bashful sensor.
LEGO my MMO.
Grr, now I need to go eat a waffle.

Wait, isn't the lowness of one's Slashdot UID the only valid indicator of skill and experience? If not, I really need to rework my resume.
Or (shudder) Slashdot.
Have you heard about the Lonesome Looser, beaten by the Grammar Nazi every time?
(Sorry, was listening to the Little River Band earlier)

Yeah. My 9-year-old nephew has a more encyclopedic knowledge of Star Wars than I do, and I'm not sure how that's possible.
I recall seeing either 6 or 8 attached to what I believe was a Red Hat machine, back in 1999 or so. That was in an FAA facility.
Good points. I was remembering my time using my 10" telescope, years ago.
I'd suggest objects that are very easy to find, so the students don't spend the whole time searching for them.
Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, M31 (Andromeda galaxy), Orion Nebula (M42) are a good start.
You have countered my attempted joke with an ad humornym attack of your own. Well played.
I was going to make a joke that maybe the GP poster meant "littoral", but that ship has sailed.
I think it's time to post a link to this story again.
As a Gemini, I find that this Leo favoritism to be very distasteful.
Yeah, me talks da gud english...
Talking about space could also mean Astrology. As a Gemini, I find that this Leo favoritism to be very distasteful. :-)
I tried that with mine, and the damned thing went blind and then into convulsions. :-(

Remember Archon, M.U.L.E and Pinball Construction Set?
I have the opening music from Archon stuck in my head right now. How I loved that game...

Nothing would please me more than being able to [...] deluge the hobby market with good software.
Wow, talk about a dream denied...
Yeah, I'll remember 76344,2701 until the day I die. I don't remember my Genie login, though.
I'll never forget my UUCP bang-path, either.
"The Star Kings" and "Return to the Future" would probably adapt well.
