We are a lot of things by nature. Fortunately, in most cases, the worst behavior tends to be socialized out of us by the time high school is over. A bully is a result of a failure in the upbringing process.
The only type of in-game advertising I like is advertising for products in reality simulators, such as car sims. If I'm racing around in a hot car, I expect to see billboards for products. I think such advertising enhances the immersion effect. As long as game developers do not go overboard with in-game advertising by only placing it in natural, reality-based settings where one would expect to see them, I don't have a problem. In this case, it's 'reality' that's broken. You shouldn't be conditioned into expecting to see advertising while driving around a race track or regular streets.
The computer I originally downloaded them on no longer exists, so I have no way to deauthorize it. This means that I am down one of the 5 computers that I can authorize my songs to play on. When I realized this, I decided that I will never again purchase any music files that have any DRM on them whatsoever. I find the insinuation that I'm a criminal insulting, as well. In my case, I'm willing to live with Apple's DRM-lite(tm) for the moment. That said, can't you log into your iTunes account and deauthorize any computer you choose? Don't do it from the iTunes player's menu. I have a vague memory of finding a place where I could deauthorize computers other than the one I was actually on, a while back.
I might be misremembering. I don't have access to iTunes right now, else I'd do more research to find out what the real deal is.
How do you know that the spells, wands, etc. in the Harry Potter world aren't simply examples of extremely advanced technology, indistinguishable from magic?:-)
Be sure not to watch TOS in hearing range of your laptop. Seemed like just about every other original episode, Cpt Kirk talked a computer to death: Landru, the M5, Nomad, various androids...
I've been meaning to look into last.fm, thanks for the reminder. For me, Pandora has been a good pointer to music that I've later sought out on iTunes or at the local used music stores.
I do have to admit that the idea of a Boeing 747 shooting down a model rocket is amusing, though. The idea of a 747 with an Apollo 11 silhouette stencilled under the cockpit is certainly amusing:-).
Don't recall him actually saying much...
The Space Hotel would have just gotten infested with Vermicious Knids anyway.

> I mentioned Castaway before. Most of the dialog on the island had to be redone because of the sound of the waves.
:-)
Wasn't all of the dialog on the island, in fact, a monolog?
I agree that it's realistic. I am just less tolerant of advertising than you; I find it *all* to be horribly offensive.
The kind of 'Sponsorship' you mention is somewhat less offensive to me than other kinds, though.
WTF? 'Dildo Bugger' is a perfectly respectable boggie name.
Don't think of it as 'American Idol', think of it as 'American 0x000001D0L'.
Welcome to my world.

This reminds me of a quest-giving NPC in EverQuest.

I'm a Corvette. Vroom!

> civil due process--guaranteed by the US Constitution--only applies to US Citizens.
So we can decide to treat people as objects based solely on their nationality? Wow. That kind of attitude just leaves me aghast.
The image of little Bobby coming home from school one day and spewing spam all over the house comes to mind...
Sorry, it's been a long day.

Imposter! This isn't Bill Gates at all!
In Lucas sequel, ROLE turns down FORD first!

And I bet it's that part of the comment that got it mod'd 'Troll'.
