You may be speaking too soon; it is entirely probable ComCast will only make it available on Digital Cable (which I absolutely refuse to sign up for.) As far as I can tell the only two things that has happened since ComCast gobbled up AT&T Cable in my area has been that 1) My rate went up (again,) and this is for only Basic Cable and Extended Basic. 2) I got less channels (that I want) than when AT&T was running my local cable.
To freez to death only to be revived and boiled to death, again, for the only crime of being tasty? If this isn't cruel and unusual punishment I really don't know what is...

This is absurd. If a person posts slanderous flyers throughout bulletin boards a college campus, does that make the college liable? Is the college at fault, or the person posting the flyers? The absurd threats by this "professor" leaves me questioning "it's" qualification to be addressed as such.
I'd like to know the real reason behind not releasing the OS as open source.
Isn't it obvious? (wink) It's because they're afraid they might've misappropriated SCO's "intellectual property." (grin) I can already see it... Daryl ranting about "million and million of lines of code misappropriated by SkyOS" after their suit against the Rest of the Planet (TM) goes to pieces.
Who cares if Congress enacts more federal laws that the FBI won't even take a report on?
You should, I should, EVERYONE should. Laws in the book that are not enforced today does not mean they will not be exploited at a later date to harass citizens.
It's damage control people. They knew. They just didn't care. Now that they are caught they are passing the buck.
At least there's an "attempt," unlike *nt*l and the P*nt**m float point fiasco.
a. It's not really a problem, only effects a small percentage of people. b. Submit your justification for demanding the replacement processor, and we'll... 'think' about it. c. Oh, fsck it, just send it back and we'll send you another one, fscker.
The per-song "magic number" varies from one region to another reflecting the cost of living in the area, completely ignoring the global nature of the internet.
Surely 99 cents per song is more than some people make for a day of back breaking labor in some parts of the world, but really isn't much more than pocket change in most of the first world countries.
I'm sure the sabre-toothed tiger never sat back and thought "Shit, i'm killing off these wooly mammoths like crazy! I better think of a way to encourage repopulation before they're extinct!". It just thought "Hey look! It's my next meal to ensure my survival".
Flawed analogy; animals hunt because they're hungry. Humans hunt for ENTERTAINMENT (mostly.) Name ONE sabre toothed tiger (or for that matter, any animal) that has deer heads mounted on their dwelling walls, and brags to others of their species of their "magnificant" kills...
Mr. Jobs' ego is too big to admit to this problem. Anyone who defends Apple in any other regard just has to look at how they handle goofs like this. It says an awful lot about the company.
Mr. Jobs is always right, although on numerous occasions the universe has disagreed with him.
It has been widely known that most lawyers for entertainment business has their heads perpetually stuck up the part of their body where sun don't shine...

What become laws has everything to do with who's ear you got and nothing to do with facts. Ahhh the beauty of American democracy.

Have them dig their own graves; then push them in and cover up the hole, at least they'll then have done some good as fertilizer.
