My further question would be what moron thought this setting should be associated in any way with a COPIER? A copier should produce copies of the original. If I just wanted random nonsense to print I'd hire monkeys to sit at keyboards.
Avira is good, I use it on many machines and I've never known it to be a resource hog. It does only 2 annoying things:
1. Pops up a big message every day asking you to upgrade 2. Blocks access to autorun.inf which is a good or bad thing depending on what you're trying to do.
IIRC on XP it requires you to upgrade to XP Service Pack 3, which you should be anyway but may be a factor in your decision.
I don't think we need legislation to unbundle cable channels, if consumer demand is strong enough it will happen. The problem is too many people just pay their ever-increasing cable bills and perpetuate the problem.
How would you like it if Congress decided to come unbundle your products or services?
Naked scanners, tickets costing hundreds of dollars, smaller seats, all the rules for what you can and can't carry, long lines. No thanks I'll drive whenever possible.
Cutting edge is cool but I always go for the best $150 card I can buy. That gets you a good last-gen card that will still be good for years of service.
A lightly-used XP machine blue-screened on me this week for the first time, and wouldn't boot without blue-screening. I put it through memory and hard drive checks which it passed just fine. I suspected it might have been a MS patch. Somehow it finally rebooted after 4 or 5 tries, but I haven't rebooted it since. Now I know what patch did it, I can uninstall it. Sheesh.
If the robocallers were calling with their real numbers they would already be dead or in jail. As long as telcos allow them to spoof their numbers no number-based filtering will work.
I'm all for vacuuming out the computer case once in a while, but that's about it. Electronics have a good lifespan (5+ years) and even for thrifty me by the time they wear out I'm ready for something cheaper and better.
Isn't the high cost the reason so many people hate Comcast, Time Warner, etc? $70 is a lot for Internet, for a business it would be fine but for home use that's way expensive.
I have to agree. She will probably get more converts by doing good work and word of mouth than the presence or absence of screwball websites that involve her name. Might not hurt to mention something like "This is my official site, any other sites that purport to be me aren't operated or sanctioned by me."
I've had a ton of fun with this game. The review just scratches the surface, but if you've played any of the Battlefield games multiplayer you will largely understand the basic game. It's just instead of having a small map with 3 or 4 command points, you have 3 huge maps (continents) with dozens of command points.
As the review says, the starting weapons are plenty good, and upgrades upgrade the way you play rather than the damage of the weapon. For example, you can get red dot scopes for short range battles, magnifying scopes for long range battles, or a forward handle to make the bullet spread less.
I spent $10 just to support the developers, and with that bought an anti-air launcher for my heavy. It seemed to discourage the air at least, many times tanks or air will completely dominate a base. I'm not sure whether that's because the air is overpowered, the infantry or bases or underpowered, or the air was just more skilled. Personally I think the base turrets should be upgraded to probably 2x their current damage. Tanks and aircraft should think twice about approaching a base.
I really like the fact that you can't buy anything functional that you can't earn by playing, but I will say the point cost for many items is very high.
Although it's not perfect Planetside 2 is a breath of fresh air and makes me look forward to what's to come in the future.
Trying to sneak in stuff like McAfee with program updates (I think Flash does this) is also a Very Bad Thing. Stop doing this, reputable companies. Or you become unreputable.
Just put some flash memory on the mouse. Supporting people who can't use their hardware because your "cloud" is down will cost you far more than a little memory.
Before the only reason I had to avoid Razr was the price. Now it's price and stupidity.

Yeah exactly. How exactly is it better for the mailman to walk up to every door?

Who the hell cares if a page renders .02 seconds faster?
Lynx will always be the fastest!
And when I paste a link and press Enter for the next line, the message immediately sends! Thanks Gmail.
I often see my Verizon home phone bill go up every few months, whether it be a few cents or more.

Ooh yeah, and the propeller could have solar panels on it!
You could probably have a 48-hour battery life if you wanted to wrap the sides and back of your head with batteries. Go for it.
If I was that company I would make people write "I WANT YOU TO DESTROY THIS HARD DRIVE" before I would destroy it.

No kidding, electromechanical pinball machines are the heaviest things I've ever lifted.

That sounds highly unlikely. But I like pressing buttons so I will try it just for the fun of it.

Games rated AO and M already aren't supposed to be sold to minors.
If you're planning on banning all violent material, let's start with half of television and the bible.

You would think they would want to *encourage* you owning more than one.
Agreed, as well as Evochron Legends, it is complicated but even allows seamless planetary landings.
