Deus Ex is a detailed stategy FPS/RPG game, I love it. It also came with a great story too. Half-life also had a good story, but isn't so detailed. I'm not quite so sure (s)he's on about actual "detail" as more as structure to the game, like a plot. A good story makes a game addictive, good graphics just makes it pleasant to play.

yeah, it's good for when you're not over-filling your video-RAM. Otherwise taking a trip to your main RAM will take quite a bit longer than the benefits of the 64Mb version.

But I don't think it's that hard to decide, get an ultra-fast display on todays games, and slow for tomorrow's (64Mb), or fast on todays games, and average on tomorrow's (128Mb).

  5. Why bother with this? on AMD Opteron to support Palladium · · Score: 1

What exactly do I need a faster computer for? if I got an unrestriced 2.5Ghz CPU, and some high quality video card and only continuted to upgrade the video card, how will I be affected by palladium? I don't see this being the demise of unrestricted file formats. CDs are restriction free, CDs can be ripped, CDs will be around for a long time.

I just think it's shooting themselves in the foot, how many people would actually WANT to restrict THEIR computer? AND pay for it?

Europe is Region 2. I believe that's also in the northern hemisphere. I own a collection of both region 1 and region 2.

DVD Firmware isn't like BIOS Firmware. If it fails, it's possible to re-flash as it doesn't prevent booting up.

I have had troubles with DVD Firmware flashing. It made my drive terrible at reading even the perfect discs. Later on I found another update for the firmware, which improved on it.

Why is it that so many ignorant fools, seem to preach without learning? Admittedly the welsh assembly is nothing more than prattling politicians, and what they discuss there gets carried to london, they ARE actual countries. The Act of Union (1536), made Wales part of the early UK, but it retained it's own country identity.
