Where IP? Who IP? Just because you send data in packets doesn't mean you have to use IP.. The article doesn't say anything about the protocol they're using..
The article doesn't mention weither you have to pay phone costs for this.. I doubt the cars have a phone number, so how does this work?

Well, the article states it is: - it is added in the last 18 months - it is added by IBM - they added 'a whole program'
I think this narrows things down a bit, shouldn't it be possible to make a list of code added by IBM in the last 18 months? Maybe we could all put a snippet of this code on our website, and the one who gets sued by SCO has the right part:)
Hehe.. unless you find pure silicon somewhere, you will have to extract it from silicon oxide.. so, you don't make elements, you just extract them. BTW, 'making elements' is no longer called alchemy, it's called nuclear physics nowadays.:)
This is a small portion of the qt designer manual..
Importing Glade Files Glade is a free GUI builder for GTK+ and GNOME written by Damon Chaplin. The.glade extension is associated with Glade files.
Qt Designer has been tested with Glade files up to version 0.6.0 and might work with later versions as well.
Although Glade does not target Qt, the layout system and the widget set of GTK+ are similar to those of Qt, so the filter will retain most of the information in the.glade file.
This is not an automagic process, you have to check if the conversion went well (e.g., there are some widgets - it mentions GnomePapreSelector - that have no Qt equivalent).
That's all I can say about it. OK, so terrorism claimed 700 lives last year. In Belgium alone (that tiny country you can never find on the map) 1500 people died in car accidents. Not to mention how many died of the flue. So why is such a pathological, marginal fenomenon causing so much panic? Right. Hysteria. That's always a good way to ruin people's rights.
I don't agree. Manuals have been around as long as machines/software. You can't expect someone to begin working with a complex program and discover all the features by him/herself. So while i whish it were true, not everything in life is plug and play. furthermore, manuals can also teach you clever ways to use the program and get things done.
I just saw 'Bowling for Columbine' yesterday. It sheds a different light on this kind of inventions. I mean, how many weight are you willing to carry around to protect yourself from all possible terrorist attacks? These things will not help, they will just make some company rich.
Compared to file sharing programs, voice takes no bandwidth at all (2kbyte/sec). BTW, did you know that phone companies use the internet for long distance calls? They first test the bandwidth and if it's fast enough, they don't set up a line but use VoIP, saving them quite some money.
The legitimate use is that if I buy something, I do as I please with it. If I want to smash it with a big hammer, or unsolder all components and make a radio with it, it's my money.
When I was a kid, I once made a radio that required no power supply. The signal was strong enough to drive a high impedance headphone. So it is definitely possible to extract some energy from radio waves. However, it would not be enough to power a led..
I have bought a 21 inch monitor, it was the best investment I ever made. Don't spend your money on a high end computer; it will be outdated by the time the drivers are stable. The monitor on the other hand can be used for more than one 'generation'. I also bought a cheap tv card. Result: Very clear tv-images, with a screen that is as large as most tv's (I measured it, it is exactly as large as my sister's TV).
The next PC I buy will cost 500 euros. At the same time I will buy a terrabyte of hard-disk space to store recorded movies and mp3's (turning my current PC into a massive file server).
You don't even need a dac, just pulse width modulation will do the trick. This can be done with almost every microcontroller. Forget about relays. You should first calculate the current running through the leds, and see weither you can drive it with directly the uC. if that is not the case, a simple transistor (BC547) can be used.
... you forgot to dream about USB memory sticks. If those could work together with a PDA, that would be cool!
It amazes me that you first pay for adsl and cable, and then you spend extra money on a conference call. Why didn't you use VoIP?

Hmm.. I see :). Well, I blame the uninformative article :)

If I'm not wrong, glade files can also be importd in qt designer (qt's gui builder). Nice work.
this is sooo 1984..
You may now all bow your heads in a moment of silence to thank the United States of America for your freedom.
Thank you, America, for training and funding Osama Bin Laden.

So the war wasn't about oil after all.. It's about piracy! ;)

or a hack?
So why isn't the Xerox management in jail?

The only difference is a resistor telling the BIOS which one it is.
Interesting, but it is quite easy to add/remove a resistor.. Do you mean I can upgrade my card for free? Is there some info on it available?
Am I the only one who could not connect to slashdot all day? Has slashdot finally been slashdotted?

Because it is encrypted.
