Say you have a CD with a 600 MB file on it and you copy it to your HD. Windows will use 600MB caching the disk into memory, and it will swap out whatever hasn't been touched during the file copy.
no doubt they had all the OEM bullshit software running in the background: printer monitors, mouse monitors, monitor monitors. I bet their systray has a million fucking icons in it. Not to mention any spyware they got on the machine by being on IE for 5 minutes to download some video card drivers.
the price he is initially charging is based on the fact that he will get additional revenue, its already considered in the price. if you want more than he initially offered to sell it is quite reasonable to expect to pay more than he initially offered to charge.
No listen, its not an issue of the data is coming to his computer and does he send it to odeon or does he make a copy for himself and then send it to odeon. Have you ever seen a site thats not google but has a google search box? While they may add a referrer tag, they don't get your information, send it to google, get the results from google, and somehow send them to you. Instead they make the box function exactly like it would if you were on google itself, your computer sends the data to google and it never even touches that person's site again. This is what the odeon clone site did as well. As for your question; we know its true because we can look at his html. The user's browser is still interacting directly with odeon.
"These frequencies just aren't usually present in ambient light." Actually they are, they are just a tiny slice of frequency amongst a sea of other frequencies so they don't contribute even a fraction of a percent to the total light emmited from an ambient source.
Actually steel holding tanks for some of the strongest acids out there are coated with aluminum to protect the steel from acid.. I don't think coke cans would need to protect aluminum from acid. Aluminum oxide forms readily on aluminum and seals the aluminum from damn near anything, its a rust that prevents rust.

"a long distance speed record for the Karbarda breed or horses (the only one I could find data on) is 50km at 18.5 mph"
Sounds like the original poster already considered this in his post. Before you go praising tuna note that you'd have to subtract all the work done by the currents the tuna use before you come up with your final btu/mile estimate.
If someone sues you and you don't lose, they pay your legal fees. If they offer you a reasonable settlement and you instead go to court and you lose, you pay their legal fees. So it doesn't exactly "cost them money whether they win or lose." If they win it doesn't cost them anything.
Oh shit, I read the article and thought that millions of people still watch over the air television. Damn I'm glad I saw your post in time to know that "Almost everyone [you] know has cable or satellite" or I would have believed them! Say, what percentage of your friends are white, I want to get a good generalization about the percentage of white people in the world.
Works great for paying for problems with people's cars that you hit. Paying the liability on hitting someone and killing them might be a little harder.
Or maybe there is no problem at all with his keyboard and slashdot automatically entered that space in order to prevent page widening trolls? Regardless he should have used a link and there would be no problems.
I was responding to "As it stands, upload bandwidth is generally less than download bandwidth." I was saying that on the internet as a whole, at any given time, total upload transfers = total download transfers.
Actually there is pretty much exactly as much upload bandwidth overall as there is download bandwidth. When you download something, someone is uploading something; not only did you not RTFAMFer you also didn't read your post before you hit submit.
You are saying that since 1927 no one has released a work into the public domain? A copyright does not have to expire to enter the public domain, all it takes is that the author give up his copyright--many have done so. That this broadcast flag is being legally mandated brings up one of the same problems the DMCA brought up: it essentially allows for perpetual copyrights.

If this is THE Curtman, then I doubt anyone including THE Miguel knows you or will reply. But yes, it is THE Miguel.

The one-time $3.00 per share dividend is extremely hokey though.

I know what you are saying man. I got a traffic ticket yesterday! Come on! Don't we have some terrorists we should be finding?

What original source material did you try it with?

it does run on osx if you are running classic. there are many who run osx and who use classic.
You didn't capitalize "at" and you didn't put a period at the end of your sentence. You exemplify nice grammar.
Used to run photoshop 3 on my 486 in windows 3.1 .... No problems there.

What about CB radios?

K-mart is gonna be pissed.
Well if you go back to ET for the Atari you'll see that you are wrong.

This review was posted earlier on Freshmeat. It had a cold response there and I imagine it will have the same here.
