I say almost all the modern musicians are promoted based on how they look
That you know of. For every artist you're thinking of, there are a thousand real musicians that you've never heard of. Then again, it doesn't sound like you're looking.
A true professional certainly can not tell the difference, because the absolutely perfect ones created in a lab are completely identical. No natural diamonds are so flawless, which is why flaws can be introduced into the manufactured diamonds.
Say you're right. So prices go down 10%. DeBeers follows suit, and lowers their own artificially inflated prices. It doesn't stop there. The premise behind capitalism is the law of supply and demand. If man made diamonds (indistinguishable to a trained expert to a mined diamond) cost $5 to make, who will eventually win the price war?
Hand animation never seems to capture the feeling of "weightiness" properly. The models just jerk around as if they had no mass or center of gravity. With motion capture, the center of gravity is always apparent, and the model doesn't seem like a hollow marrionette.
I'm immune too, because my computer was patched long before the virus was released, and I'm not stupid enough to open.pif,.vbs,.bat,.cmd,.lnk,.exe,.scr, or.com files that came in an email.
I may have been unclear, because I think I agree with you on every point. The acts carried out by the Nazis, were, as far as I know, in the running for some of the most vile and heinous acts ever comitted by humans in the history of the world.
They obviously wouldn't let a Jew in, but I don't believe your religion defines who you are. What I meant to say by the you would have been a nazi too comment is that if you had been born into a nazi family or whatever, chances are high that you would have been a nazi too. I'm sure they used all kinds of brainwashing techniques and other questionable practices for recruiting, but that justs illustrates my point that the nazi soldiers at the bottom of the nazi food chain (not the high ranking officials) were fundamentally no different than you or me. They happened to be in a setting that led them into the services of nazis, and they probably didn't even believe what they were doing was wrong.
I'm not diminishing personal responsibility either though. There certainly were plenty of evil nazis, to be sure. After all, someone was leading the movement and giving directions. The officials in charge had a better ability to affect the outcome than the grunt-soldiers that were being brainwashed. And after all, most of the characters one shoots in a video game are the grunt level enemies. But I would have no problem calling the high-level nazi officials evil.
Fair enough, but then if we're only talking about your feelings, then that doesn't make a very good reason that Vietnam-Based shooters are in poor taste in general. After all, we are only talking about one person's feelings, which are not quantifiable, and there seems to be no concrete basis for these feelings, so they're completely subjective and illogical, which is fine for feelings, but doesn't support an argument well.
Vietnam.... not so black and white. Pretty frickin' grey, actually. Do I feel good picking off some Vietnamese farmer with an AK-47? or even NVA regulars? Not nearly as good as I do picking off Nazis.
You feel better about picking off Nazis? You shouldn't. Nazis aren't evil. Naziism as a movement might be evil, but Nazis are just people. Misinformed people perhaps, but I don't think that the majority of the Nazis deserved to "picked off". You probably would have been a Nazi too if you grew up in the right place and time.
It's an extremely rough "back of the envelope" type calculation. Even so, you could argue that the writers must read too, so they are included the group of readers.
Sales. That's how. perhaps I should have added this: The goal is to make the song sound the best that it possibly can to the target demographic. Songs by the "artists" you mention may sound annoying to me, but you can't argue with the numbers. They must sound good to someone, and that isn't an accident.
"Small hip hop artists" are a dime a dozen. I'm not saying they're not good, but they aren't in short supply either. These artists aren't exactly moving large numbers of units. There's no significant revenue stream. What you didn't address is that this is small time stuff, and labels aren't interested. They deal with real money, and the only way to sell that many records is to advertise like the grandparent post said, through radio and MTV.
Hahahahaha... And how many studio albums have you worked on?
You must not be aware of modern studio recording. The goal is not to get a song done as fast as possible. The goal is to make the song sound the best that it possibly can. Needless to say, this probably doesn't happen on the first take.
This isn't for the original poster so much as anyone else who might think it's true, because it seems like the poster has already made up his/her mind on the subject.
It's "An universe" to people who pronounce "universe" correctly. The proper pronounciation is "oo-nee-vers" not "you-nee-verse"
So tell me: what's it like being such a god damn idiot? Is it any fun? It's a big step to take, but if it's worth it, I'd like to try it too. So how has your experience with god damn idiocy been, and would you recommend I try it?
So there's no 100% way of exploiting this. Does that mean it's not vulnerable?

Normally, you would think that with that much lead time, the/. crew would have been able to get their act together and post the story. But I think I figured out what went wrong. Slashdot didn't exist yet!
Maybe when you're done bragging about your internet connection, you can come back down to earth. (i.e. the place where 12 ms on your first hop doesn't matter) What are you doing with this anyway? Playing games? 12 ms is not going to make any noticeable difference anyway. Get real.
Unfortunately for you then, clear channel is already pumping out exactly what the listeners want to hear. Not very many people really care about music. They will listen to whatever they are given without too much complaint as long as it is geared toward their demographic.
As long as no one cares, CC & RIAA & co. may as well have people buy albums from their own artists that they created. There is a powerful force at work keeping radio closed. That is because it is 100% advertising. When they are not playing "traditional ads", they are playing ads for bands. That's what the songs are: pay-to-play advertisements for their current album. And since the label gets the majority of the proceeds from their sales, why would they want to spend valuable air time promoting an independent artist. I don't blame you for not knowing how it works, but I do blame you for not understanding the system after it was explained to you.
No one cares what music they play anyway. As a result, no one who really cares about music spends much time listening to non-independent radio stations.
I'm fairly certain if you asked your radiostation to play local bands they would.
Hahahahahaha. I'm fairly certain you have no fucking clue what you are talking about. It's obvious that you have absolutely zero experience with the industry.
That would be like me saying "Yes sir ma'am, I'm fairly certain the problem with your car is a blown out clutch box." Keep in mind that I have zero experience with cars, and don't know if there is such a thing as a clutch box. It's pretty misleading to say you're fairly certain about something if you don't know what you're talking about. It may well be true that you are 100% certain, but if you have no basis on which to make that claim, then it's pretty irrelevant, wouldn't you say?
I, on the other hand, am fairly certain that it would be easier to set up your own pirate FM station then it would be to get your local radio station to change their playlist in any way whatsoever. You think people's requests affect what they play? You've got it backwards.
That's up to debate. Some people claim that perfect pitch can be learned, and I don't see why not.

Don't blame the operating system for its users.
The point is playing.
He got enjoyment from that.
Reimburse for what?

Overstating importance.
It is just a game.
Wrong!

Right. This will ever exist.
Just change the first five results on google to some page that explains it's only there to be taken down by the worm. Virus attack: incapacitated.
