500 years ago we thought the earth was flat, today we think its a scientific impossibility to travel at the speed of light. 500 years from now we'll probably be wondering if its possible to leap over to the neighbouring universe.
If Aliens had the ability to travel across the galaxy chances are they would have the ability to see which planets are infact inhabited by life.
However, if they exist light years away and they are studying our planet from afar. They would be seeing an ancient version of our earth.
I wonder if it would be possible for those aliens to zoom in with their equivalent to a telescope and get a better look at a planet even if the light being sent from that planet was emitted thousands of years ago. Or if that light gets dilluted.
On a sidenote, there was also a recent study which concluded that those who have very little sex are less happy than those who have a whole lot of sex.
And what exactly is the difference between this and a strip search? The humiliating part of a strip search is being naked infront of people you dont know.
That's exactly what this is minus the taking the clothes off part.
Maybe George will want to make movie magic history again and make all the lead characters CG.
I mean, Han, Luke and Leia are just too old.
Unless they changed the original vision of the trilogy to something a little deeper in the future where Luke is old and Han and Leia are dead.
Mark Hamill could still be a strong, interesting character on screen as an aged Jedi Master. This could be the story of where Luke has brought the Jedi and the senate back into power in the galaxy and now that he is getting old and weak a massive sith takeover is being planned, with something bigger than the death star.
definitely agreed. My school teaches animation,game animation and otherwise, and I can't even instal Quake to test my game models in the engine because the school doesn't want anyone playing games.
I think there is just better ways of going about these things and its very hard to get through to a network administrator, who is not an artist. His job is not to make the school network a better place for the student (unfortunately) they are hired to restrict students and I don't think this is a good thing.
I think network administrators should be more understanding of their position regarding the point that sh!va is trying to make above. Before he moved to a new college, our old network administrator was an animator and he would do everything he could to allow us to test on games, have our program of choice's personal preferences load when we login, instal plugins, etc,..etc,... I think schools really need to think about how their network can work FOR their students not against them.
I remember when everything on the internet was FUN! and FREE! The way people try and justify large companies charging money for things nowadays REALLY peeves me. In my eyes in supporting these people are supporting SPAM, ADWARE etc.
Websites should be free to visit and browse and get information from. Like this one! You shouldn't need to give personal details. I don't have anything good to say about any of these websites trying to capitalize on things that used to be free. Its as if people dont realize that in supporting this, you are supporting changing the internet into a place where it costs money to subscribe to a site to obtain information.

The way people support this crap nowadays, and i'm seeing a lot of it here, makes me wan to start an internet porn spamming corporation.
But I can't bring myself to do this.
Yeah, people suck, and when the masses come to the internet, so does the internet.
What needs to be clogged is the sales lines. You have to find a sales line that is connected to the buisness in someway. If not sales than the CEO's @work and @home telephone numbers are good too. I despise spam on all levels.
I would really love to see a website dedicated to this as I can't stand spam. Just a list of numbers to call and email addresses to spam. This site should be directed at telemarketters AND spammers.
I've found that in every movie I completely fall for there is a moment where you discover something that you really weren't expecting. Like Empire Strieks Back and Vader telling Luke he is his father. Sixth Sense when you realize he's dead. Matrix when you realize WHAT the matrix is.

I believe thats exactly the problem. The best thing about "The Matrix" was introducing the Matrix and explaining what it was. That was the shock factor in the matrix for me. Not the special effects.
They've already told us what the Matrix is. How are they supposed to top that? They better have some HUGE surprises storywise. If they really believe it will compare to the first.
