Here in Australia we get charged 110 Oz for a tier one game, which works out to be 100 US with current exchange rates. Relative CD, DVD and game prices were set when the Oz dollar was worth about 60 US cents which was a decade ago and margins haven't been adjusted since.
I'll tell you my theory why people don't often try to write viruses for OSX (writing viruses for money and OSX is more secure aside).
You probably will need to be running OSX to write an effective virus for OSX and obviously have quite a bit of skill with it. If that's the case then you're probably a member of the mac community, and they don't wish harm on each other.
It sounds lame I know, but fanboys stick together and OSX community is a close one.
Java Certification only proves you know how to answer trick questions. It's primarily just shows lines with several operators in it and you have to know which ones take priority. The correct answer to most of the questions should be "This code is so horrible I would rewrite it to be clearer".
When hiring, I've found Java Certified people to be worse than the norm, in no way does it actually test your ability to program.
And users of OS X 10.3 can't upgrade to Safari 3 or Firefox 3. Pity the article doesn't even mention any of these points (except a few people in comments).
Yes but hitting 1 of 1000+ items orbiting around a planet with a decent amount of gravity is a different matter once you already know an asteroid is going to be in the general vicinity. Still having asteroid scares is a good way to increase space funding too.
Okay, I hate the fact that the iPhone didn't come out with an SDK at launch, and the fact that there's an existing playform for building phone apps (Java ME) that they completely ignored, and Apple's "Buy a new one if you brick it" policy (Could they at least take your bricked iPhone for $100 or something so the hardware doesn't go to waste?) BUT most of the security circumnavigation is a result of buffer overflows and other stuff that could be used in theory by attackers as well so they are right to patch it.
Personally I'm going to wait until after the SDK is released until I think about buying one, and anybody else who is currently trying to hack the iphone should do the same (even just to save their wallets from more brick costs).
Because these guys were warned first that they were violating the GPL and did nothing until legal action was mentioned. SCO was more of the opinion "We'll tell you what you're violating in court" without giving Linux a chance pre-lawyers.
Personally, I don't really care if he said it or not, it was what DOS said. I remember the hours of pain using 3rd party loaders that could access RAM above 640KB while trying to reduce the number of programs that use the sacred first 640KB of RAM.
Same way I wouldn't care if Jobs said "1 mouse button should be enough for anyone". It's still implied. (hopefully this doesn't start a mouse button tangent, but you get the idea).
I was able to get access to a palm emulator by signing up as a palm developer (free) back in the day. I would think they would keep providing that service.
Maybe he also could base it on this http://appledefects.com/ or the fact that software products such as "Quiet Mac Book Pro" were made (it wastes CPU cycles to get rid of a buzzing noise after Apple didn't do anything about that for months), or the fact it runs at 70 degrees. Maybe he's waited in the customer service line before and it hadn't been so damn long. Personally I had to take my MacBookPro to the repairer 6 times! and the only time I had to take in my G4 Powerbook was for the battery recall. (I also have 2 dead pixels and a warped case for the MacBookPro).
There is more than enough evidence that Apple dropped the ball on hardware quality for laptops. I was stupid for getting a first generation item (I needed a laptop for work at the time), but it would be good to know that if I was to get a replacement laptop from Apple in the future, I could do so with confidence.
All other things aside, I'm sick of newsites claiming that porno websites would be reluctant to give up their.com address and end up using both.com and.xxx
Fine, use both, and just have.com send a 302 redirect to the.xxx site. Then if people filter out.xxx's they're safe, and I can still go to www..com
There are other countries where the governments don't give a crap about the environment as you mentioned, but the size of their industry is smaller compared to the size of the populace, and the populace are also poorer and can't spend as much on big cars.
Every country is a problem, but being labeled as the main leader of the world is a double edged sword for America. Until America starts becoming environmental, the rest of the world will just say, "If America gets to pollute so much, why can't we?"
People who would not of liked the movie (e.g. given it a bad rating), don't even watch the movie these days, and can't give it a lower rating. So only the easy to please (who give things high ratings) actually rate things?
As far as the critics are concerned, that's harder to explain, maybe they're being paid for more than normal? (Bit of a stretch, but if the slump gets bad you could imagine the industry would get a bit more dersperate in their bribery). Or are you percentages being pushed out by outlies? e.g. last year their were 5 real bombs but the non bombs were generally better?
Also, maybe movies are slightly better this year, but it's just taken people a few years to decide their still not good enough and stop going?
Okay, so the laws of robots doesn't count, but surely the prime directive must? Iraq hasn't developed warp technology yet so we shouldn't be interfering with them.

But then there's that eco-system thing. Having a few resurrected species in a zoo doesn't really help nature produce an equilibrium beneficial to us.

The most supported theory currently is we're better off without fur due to all the parasites that can turn fur into a lovely home.

Everybody wants more power when they get a taste.

ICQ only has a classic.
Of course all good OS X users use Adium or Fire as their cross IM network chat client.

America, and sadly my own country Australia are well documented the worst CO2 emitters per capita.t ent/emissionsindividual.html, I'm sure you could find more up to date articles if you searched hard enough.

They should of because nobody at my work believed it. Took about one week before people realised it was serious.

Um, France, parts of Canada, French Islands of which there are many.
Remember that France was a colonial power back in the day.
Does that mean any closed source code writer can never work again once (s)he's seen some open source code?

Nothing MS make was designed by them,
DOS, Excel, Front Page, IE
were all originaly bought.
But nobody ever walks in 3D person shooters when there's a run option anyway.
The key is quickly running out of friends.
mainLoop : for(int i=0; i n; i++) {
for(int j=0; j m; j++) {
if (blah[i][j] == 1) break mainLoop;
}
}
Is also how you can break out of nested loops in Java. More restrictive then goto's so it keeps the code neat.
