So, all these pulsars (like everything else in the universe) are always in motion... That motion isn't constant and the direction is also subject to change. In addition to their rate, wouldn't you also have to know their velocity/vector at the time of the pulse?
well, my wife and i went to see him in chicago on 2.oct... great show, though i'm still left wondering how attached his new breasts are -- whether they're actually implanted or if they're "lee press-on breasts". anyways, i digress.
after the show, since we were at the back of the orchestra section, we nipped off for a few beverages at the wine bar across the street from the schubert theatre, and managed to get back across the street again in time to have the distinction of being the the last people to be allowed in to talk to eddie at the end of the night.
the question was put to him, and he'd heard the rumor earlier in the day (perhaps by others who he'd talked with earlier that night), but he has not been contacted by the BBC regarding this matter. and yes, this apparently all started when tom baker put his name out there as an example of someone who he thought would make a good doctor who.
You know, maybe they'll have a "sounds like a real car" option too... And you'd be able to download different soundpacks depending if you want it to sound like anything from a Model T to a commercial jetliner... shouldn't be that difficult to gauge what's happening on those wires and play/tweak the correct sounds.
