    OK, So I look at the link and start reading. I see this:

    Without words, the Tao can be experienced, and without a name, it can be known.

    Then in the next part I see this:

    We cannot know the Tao itself

    So can it be known or not?

    It's the licensing part, not the writing part, that's causing the problem. It's an expensive process and you have to jump through a lot of hoops.

    I've done experiments with my 3MP camera, taking multiple shots from the same angle and layering them in photoshop. The enhanced resolution can be downright breathtaking

    That's interesting. Can you give more details on what you did? You took the "same" photo many times, then layered the images? At that point wouldn't you have a blurry picture, not a sharper one? What did you do next?

    He hasn't yet clarified his statement, but I took it to mean the number of people living past 90, not their actual age. Still an exaggeration, of course, but orders of magnitude less of one ;-)

    The only reason windows is easy to use is because...

    Objection. Assumes facts not in evidence.
    Most of the people I know who use Windows only know to "Double-Click that picture there to get internet. If that doesn't work, try cursing at the computer." Then they call me and ask "What the F does [nearly useless error message] mean?? I think I have a virus."

    Jokes get ruined when you splain them. But I won't let that stop me. Woman says the world is supported by a turtle. Physicist says "what's holding up the turtle?" Woman says another turtle. Physicist asks "and what's holding up that turtle?" And she says "I see. You're very clever. But you can't fool me, it's turtles all the way down!"

    Presumably they mean a whisper you can just hear. ie, if you're whispering to someone 3 meters away, it's 30 dB. A whisper to someone 1 meter away is 20 dB.

    So you mean a whisper that's 30 dB at the source? And if I'm more than three meters away I can't hear that?

    So a whisper at one meter is quieter than a whisper at three meters?
