Yep if my job was playing Go or Chess all day, I'd be pretty darn worried.
Not your point, I know, but there's still an active worldwide chess community, and the best players make a quite comfortable living. Even a cell phone can easily beat them, but that hasn't mattered.
All this proves is that he's champion at this other version of the game.
What a scam.
Many contests in many sports are determined by some other means than to keep playing the same rules over and over again. Penalty kicks, shootouts, tiebreakers in tennis. Even baseball is talking about doing something to avoid long extra-inning games.
Chess is still chess. The longer time control they were originally playing is not built into the game and is not even constant from championship to championship. Nor is the number of games they play.
I don't know what's he's wearing, but the point is that the further back you look the more you can cherry-pick. Most of the music of any era is crap. But when you look back you can ignore the crap and focus on the good ones.
This HAS the be the dumbest question I've ever seen on slashdot.
Only because you're focusing on "barn" instead of "building with metal walls". The headline is bad but the actual question, as written, is a reasonable request for advice.
"which includes the creation of flyover ramps, toll plaza facilities, environmental mitigation sites, intersections, six overhead bridges, widened highways and new connections to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania turnpikes"
heating in academics is indeed part of Indian culture as my Indian friends explain to me.
People gladly believe anything somebody from another country tells them about that place, as if they have complete knowledge. Do you believe any American(or person from your country) who tells you "the truth" about America(or your country)? Depending on the person you'll get wildly different "truths".
Give it at least 20 years between competent self-driving cars being available, and for the feature to be included in the lowest-priced economy cars. Then another 15-25 years for the bulk
Maybe so. It's very difficult to really see how long it will take. Insurance will be a driving (heh) force. I think it will happen slowly for years, then seemingly all at once.
Once self-driving cars become a proven technology it won't be very long before you're not allowed to drive your own car. Without human drivers there's little need for traffic signals, stop signs, etc, as it will all be negotiated between the cars.

yes :-)
I enjoy his channel - he works hard at it and does a good job, but he's not a great analyst.

And he'll do it by reading out the moves.
What's wrong with curry?

Yes he does. Why do you think he doesn't?
He's about 1400 strength, so he's better at chess than the vast majority of slashdotters.
No.
thanks for the reply. Good luck to you going forward.
I don't think that mod points are quite as powerful as you imagine.
Why did you do this? What was the underlying cause, not "for the money," I mean.
Of course you can't trust them. But you can distrust them less.

Nobody's claiming perfection. That would be silly. But lives will be saved. In what way is this a "sorry" gimmick?
Do you really think for a second that only the passenger is at risk?

For only $400M?
What does that rationalization have to do with how you conduct yourself as a professional?

They don't do a lot of transmitting, do they? Certainly nothing compared to cell phones.

What's your opinion on self-driving cars? Personally I can't wait, and a good part of the reason is the same concerns you have about reckless driving.
Dust is absolutely the issue. Dust gets under the keys. Apple's previous recommendation to "fix" the problem was to hold the laptop at a 75 degree angle and blow air into it.
Here's a good start...
