    Why is anyone surprised? The more stuff you have online, the more targets you have on your back. This reminds me of the arguments after Stuxnet when people were asking why equipment was online that had no business being online. People are trying to set up their house like the Jetson's with everything automated and controllable from their smart phone.     You could try overriding those update settings. It means you're no longer on the bleeding edge of the Flash updates but it makes your life significantly less irritating. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-p... I 100% agree that Flash is a pain no matter what you do to customize it and think it should be roasted over the burning hulk that used to be known as Beta.

    Doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing. When was the last time Adobe did something with peoples best interests in mind or anything that would be considered even remotely humane? If Adobe hated /. Beta, that would be one of the only ways i'd even consider embracing it.
