I disagree it was crap. poorly written, derivative, wooden characters,
awful research, plot was strait out of a pulp fiction novel. He had no new ideas period.
It's like bad Michael Crichton (is there ever good Crichton?).
I got this hoping for some cerebral cotton candy, I was familiar with a
lot of the themes, Fibonacci numbers, secret societies, The Gnostics,
reformation, DaVinci himself. I was drubbed with poorly thought out,
halfhasardly researched drivel. Brown should of been shot.
"Terrence Stamp and Wallace Shawn gave spot-on performances." having been dragged to Haunted Mansion by my son and daughter, I was aghast at how trully terrible it was, but you are right Stamp and Shawn saved it from being the worst.
Razor's Edge was the first attempt at non-comedy Murry ever did, it was a pet project of his and favorite
novel of both his and mine. It has mixed results, but it's still one of my favorites.
I do, infact I run allmost every day. As a example I ran seven miles yesterday and the day before and so on.
It sucks to be me: all my fathers side of the family died young of heart attacks including him at 60, his first attack was at 36, I'm 38 now so runnings a good thing.
I'm not a fan of having crap in my ears as I run, and have yet found a playier that was not more distracting then fun to have allong.
Very nice; I did not know about the iriver one.
I've been looking at one of these,
rio karma" Do you actualy have a IHP-120? If you do what do you think?
"You mean like the Linux kernel patch to put http-serving in the kernel?"
You know this is a perfect example of _WHY_ linux is superior, it was deamed to hackish to live and was unceremoniously booted out of 2.5.x very early in the cycle.
Think about it, they realized that it caused more problems including security and remove a feature.
Think about how difficult it will be for Microsoft to support this for the years to come, because some
customer will demand it back.
Crist I spent a small fortune on a antenna a Terk tv35
There is NO way to get local HI DEF other then a antenna. Anyways over a couple
years even this monster is cheap comparied to cable.
I disagree, strange as it seems I don't want him to take it too seriously.
It's supposed to be fun right? Personally I hope he quits when it is no longer
fun.
How would you feel if you got sued because of what you did for _FUN_.
"I'm ready to put my money where my mouth is. Michael goes and I donate $200 to the site."
Impressive, with fair and insightful comments your arguments will go far.
"I Donate in every single forum I post except/."
Really? hard to believe your now ranging into troll territory: prove it.
exactly because of this disrespect/. editors show to people they are asking to pay for their salaries.
Then don't come here, don't comment, but thats your problem isn't it? you have more fun trolling and karma whoring, then trying participating in a intelligent forum.
"Excuse me, but this is not a free site. It is a site that is often asking for donations, excuse me, subscriptions. It is, therefore, fair game for customers, even non-paying ones"
Even non-paying ones? hmmm I think your a hypocrite, and a cheap one to boot.
"As an exercise, could you kindly point out what michael's troll of an article has contributed to the discussion?"
No I think he is pandering just like you are. niether you are him are realy contributing"
"Maybe because routers cost $50 to $100" Not in my world what routers are you talking about?
would you trust a $50 with shiny GUI, on a commercial site, like a clients?
Imagine maintaining it? would your shiny 50$ router be a dependable firewall? with 2.5.x how about
world class VPN/IPsec?
I wonder why no-ones talked about using this as a router?
My biggest problem with a regular pc is size noise, and power consumtion.
price would be the limiting factor no?
"Linux itself is a clone of an operating system that is 20-plus years old. That's what it is. That is what you can get today, a clone of a 20-year-old system. I'm not saying that it doesn't have some place for some customers, but that is not an innovative proposition." --Balmer

I've been running 2.5.x on both my station at work and at home.
For the most part it's been pretty stable.
I've run 1.3, 2.1, 2.3 and now 2.5 kernels as they came out
and 2.5.5x and on have been a pleasure. I had a 2.1.x kernel
eat my file system, I've had nothing like that so far.
Now the caveat: don't run a 2.5.x kernel unless your willing to
lose everything, backup regularly! and most important because I don't
think anything bad will happen, be prepared to write bug reports correctly!

Leave it to a geek to forget that some things are just _PLAIN_ subjective art on t-shirts is just one example.
If CT was worried about "critisism" then there would have been no Slashdot in the first place. Personaly I enjoy looking at other peoples creations.
I would of loved to have seen all of the hundreds of entrys, why not post them all?
Jack Wagner is fiction, what this troll is saying is compleate nonsence. Please do not encourage him.
Or Jim Jones telling you not to drink the Kool-aid?
