  1. Let The Impeachment Begin ! on Donald Trump Wins US Presidency (nytimes.com) · · Score: 1, Troll

The Trump University scam alone is enough to impeach Trump and there are plenty more items that also justify impeachment. The ideal would be to impeach him before he takes office. The republicans practiced obstruction. It is now time for the democrats to amplify obstruction and make certain that the congress and senate accomplish absolutely nothing.

Nothing is that simple. Most people can not even differentiate between want and need. People also frequently buy items that will destroy their health and future. A cocaine addict feels compelled to use cocaine, for example. The entire reason for all technology is to eliminate work. Technology is simply being successful at an accelerating pace. Instead of eliminating some human effort it is approaching eliminating all human effort. We will move to s decent, automatic income in the near future. There is no option. If human labor has no value just who can buy items from a business? Social planners have been thinking about this for quite some time. The public is unaware of anything that social planners do simply because they consider their work "ivory tower stuff', which implies foolishness created by academics. In essence an adult might be paid $600. per week to do nothing at the current value of a dollar. Then that person may be required to log into a site and play a game like blackjack and place $200 or so at risk during the session, A few would win but most would lose and that would keep the social pecking order in place as there is some skill involved in a game like blackjack. One might even be matched at a game of checkers with random players . If one usually wind one will be wealthier than others who usually lose. Obviously a portion of the winnings and losses must go back as if they are a tax. So one fellow might end up with $575. for his weekly pay and the other fellow might end up with $400. Over time those that win would be far better off than those that lose. In such a scheme profits from investments may not be allowed for individuals but allowed for larger companies. Some companies may have no human owners at all and simply be rewarded by allowing their profits to be used for ever better machines and computers. It is my opinion that it is not so much the ability of a robot to replace a person for work but the ability of a robot or machine to have ownership that is the real breakthrough point for establishing a race of intelligent and aware machines.

And just how can any system be allowed to exist that does not take action to eliminate a threat to human lives? Global warming is not a matter of opinion. It is a blatantly obvious reality. And yes we can all expect some pain and suffering to take place in order to reverse global warming. I am 72 years old and the ruin and destruction of the environment world wide is disgusting, in my lifetime alone. The most vital step is an absolute lock of birth control. No matter what science does for us the more people was have the worse things will get. A nation with half as many people will have half as much pollution. If you want more, healthy fish in our oceans reduce the amount of fishing by 50%. If you want better air dedicate a lot more land to forestry. That means land use for habitation and agriculture must be reduced which means we can feed and house less people. One child to one female for life without exceptions will lower our population density rather quickly. And to stop over use of our crop lands make it illegal to export any food crops or crops like cotton or tobacco. Less fertilizer, less run off, less pesticides, all from simply banning the concept of exporting any food at all.

Campaign tactics matter but beyond that race there is a huge hazard. If, God forbid, Trump is elected expect a total financial collapse will follow. The nation may go belly up even before he takes office. Investors, both foreign and American will rapidly dump all investments with American companies and place that money in more sane nations. Nobody investing serious money wants anything to do with a nation that has a president who has bankrupted six times and is also mentally unstable. That sucking sound of money leaving the US may be enough to leave our nation in total ruin and chaos. It is rather like seeing Mussolini coming into power and getting your money out before the inevitable hits the fan. And the reality of modern technology is that if the US gets a tiny bit beyond other nations due to economic woes we will probably need a couple of centuries to rise back to the top again. Money builds and sustains powerful nations. If short on money a nation can not compete. We are already a bit behind and it makes a huge difference who our next president must be.

  8. First Amazon is not the seller. A strong analogy would be a flea market in which a seller rents a booth and sells what he has. The flea market does not have access to the product or any need to see, know about, or understand anything about the product. The flea market only profits form renting the booth or maybe also operating a hot dog stand, but makes no money from the seller, selling the product. Imagine the issues if a flea market had to evaluate every item sold by the vendors. How could Amazon exist if they had to evaluate every new or used product sold on Amazon? I think some lawyer is simply taking these peoples money.

  9. It is wonderful that no monopoly can control cable service. And it was brilliant of Wilson to invent this tactic. We also need a situation in which multiple cable companies could connect to the same home so that price competition becomes a real part of able services. I have also noticed a reduction of quality programming even on th expensive, cable channels. Content competition is slipping as more and more people get rid of their cable connections. It very much reminds me of the traditional TV channels that became so saturated with advertising as well as cheaper and cheaper content that regular TV became useless. If regular TV wants eyeballs they simply must vastly lessen advertising as well as making serious investments in top notch programming. Frankly capitalism has destroyed regular TV and our theaters are sort of belly up at the same time.

Without an electronic record of where you purchased the car it is going to be so easy to catch you. And if you happen to get into a car wreck the amount of alcohol you purchased in the hours leading up to the wreck will pop up easily. And with more and better computer systems your car insurance payments can easily be continuously traced so if you are late on a payment the state can lock down your car until you are insured again. And if you are trying to hire a cashier for your business you could know instantly if the applicant is having money issues. The TRUTH will be an interesting change to watch as a certain amount of social discord will certainly result. I knew a wealthy girl who had an expensive and exhaustive background check on any guy that asker her out and she told me how often the guy would give an appearance of being rich while being so far in debt it was a wonder that they could have a pair of shoes. Broke males will go to great lengths to drive an ultra expensive car like a Rolls Royce as their scheme is to marry a very wealthy woman. it was not as if she would reject a poor guy at all. But when they met the guy had better be really candid about his finances and histories. Trying to marry rich can be quite expensive.

I almost agree with the phone room owners in this case. If anything prosecute these jerks for making annoying phone calls. Obviously phone room prosecutions are symbolic in nature and not intended to shut down a crooked industry. Most years the feds prosecute about 20 phone rooms. They go after the big dollar scams as a rule. For Lauderdale easily has over 1,000 phone rooms going on any given day. There are zero honest rooms. Some of the schemes are so complex that the staff doesn't even know they are involved in a criminal enterprise. Sometimes it is done by running one room that makes tiny sales and another room across town that uses the leads from the tiny sales to recall the buyer and sock it to them big time with a scam. The first room never knows that the second room exists. One clue that you are about to be taken is when you are asked to write a check with the company names initials. In other words the friendly salesman says make the check out to N.M.I. instead of National Mortgage incorporated. That check will then be cashed by National Marketing Inc.. So if the feds do come knocking national Mortgage claims no knowledge and they just happened to rent space to a marketing company that closed down and left town. One child for every female under every circumstance needs to be the world wide law. We also will need to devise unusual new economies so that there is no push for growth at all. Growth is like heroin to a junkie. Growth appears to give a temporary blessing and provide jobs and opportunities. But the end result is always a horror story. How do you create a horror like NYC or Detroit? You simply push for growth and when the inevitable decline occurs there is no way to fix what is wrong. You can bet that Flint Michigan was once thrilled when factories opened. Now as a consequence people have been ruined by the poisonous water. Very few places in the US did not try like mad to get new suburbs. Now they have a mess and no way out. Over and over again the same thing is seen. the public is very pro growth. Frankly if you sun bathe, nude in your back yard an airplane can snap a photo easily these days. there is simply no real difference between a plane at 2,000 feet and a drone at 100 feet. There is a reason that Trump could molest or that Cosby could drug and rape people. Imagine if voice recordings and hidden cams were totally legal in all situations. How much fraud on a used car lot could be prevented? And we don't even want to think about the number of cheating wives and husbands would be caught and exposed. If the TRUTH shall set us free we must do everything humanly possible to allow total scrutiny of every individual so that truth permeates every aspect of our lives . Imagine every word in a business being live and available for anyone in the world to watch and preserve. Maybe your talcum powder that just killed you would not have contained asbestos. But this type of thing easily can lead to massive injustices. It must not be allowed to stand. Yes the government can seize your phone under certain conditions. But demanding that you provide information on how to use or unlock the phone should not be legal. It can set up a fishing expedition that allows anyone to have their privacy invaded, including business secrets, or other sensitive materials. It can quickly turn into a situation in which a person who is not popular with a cop or official can be targeted without cause. For example your brother in law is thought to be cheating on his wife. He asks a buddy at the PD to force the brother-in-laws phone to be grabbed and forced open under some pretense. If there are girls numbers or conversations on that phone the man can now be blackmailed by his relative. Some people might pay quite a bit of money to see all that was on another person's cell phones. And if the cops have the power, just how long before employers are able to insist upon opening employees phones under threat of job loss?

It is rather like some people with a skill saw, a table saw, or a chain saw. they often know that they should not handle such tools for various reasons but we all know people that simply screw up around mechanical devices and if they get near guns bad things are almost certainly going to happen. Some people easily get distracted. Some people get too angry, too easily. Some people just lack mental co-ordination and fail to foresee a bad situation approaching. It reminds me of a teen with skates on trying to trim a hedge with a chain saw. You just know that that big ouch is looming over him. Some people are just willing to assume way too much risk. In my humble opinion no gun should have a safety on it. There is nothing wrong with being aware that one instant of careless handling may take your life or the lives of others. If by mood, or lack of intellect you can not maintain that at the top of your thoughts you should never touch any gun.

Catch a bike thief and make him pay the owner twice the new price of the bicycle and put him on a probation that will demand that he be at the city park at 5AM to salute the raising of the flag every day for five years or face five years in prison. Even a school kid would get the point when they here other kids complain about having to stand at attention at 5 AM and raise the flag. What people fail to know is that every year there are more murders involved in bike thefts than in bank robberies. It is time to end bicycle theft and give bicyclists special benefits as they are not burning gasoline or diesel or causing traffic jambs or parking issues. A free press and the publics right to know even if it does cause a riot or financial collapse of a business or industry. Here is one huge issue. If nothing else a pipeline is a declaration that we will continue to use oil. The burning of any oil based product absolutely assures the death of innocents as it clearly causes cancers, heart diseases and a host of lethal illnesses. Not only should we resent an oil pipeline, but also refineries as well as tanker trucks as well as ships carrying oil as they have already produced severe harm to the environment and human health. We have reached the toggle point. That lessening of human effort is now the lessening of human employment in that employment is simply a catch all word for human effort. Putting good pay checks in people's hands whether they work or not will enable people to have housing. I am aware that to most people that sounds idiotic but in truth it is what we really must do for society to survive. And in a political season may i point out that Hillary's plan to install 1.5 million solar panels per year will create quite few few thousands of jobs. We can also employ many thousands in the forestry trade to clean out our forests of dead trees and leaves and the like to help with the firestorms caused by global warming. The creation of numerous lakes in the mountain areas of California, Oregon and Washington state could provide quite a bit of work and give fire crews a water supply when fires break out as well as the lakes being a natural fire brake. Meanwhile my small town is now forced to lose 1.5 billion gallons of fresh water a day due to having too much fresh water at hand for public safety while our sub surface fresh water is no longer adequate to support our local population. Maybe instead of pipelines for oil we should be building pipe lines for water so that dumping fresh water into our oceans is no longer needed.
