    They don't have much choice. SB826 says they need to get to 50% by 2021.

    Actually, SB826 is a little more complicated than that. By the end of 2021, Public Companies must meet the following:

    If a Public Company’s number of directors is six or more, the Public Company must have a minimum of three female directors;
    If a Public Company’s number of directors is five, the Public Company must have a minimum of two female directors; and
    If a Public Company’s number of directors is four or fewer, the Public Company must have a minimum of one female director.

    That's what's supposed to happen when properly functioning Anti-Trust DOJ regulators DO THEIR JOB!

    In case you're not aware, monopolies always end up exploiting their "customers". It used to be they were broken up, and the public - including shareholders - benefited greatly. The DOJ hasn't had a properly functioning Anti-Trust division in...well, forever. These days, there's no merger too big for them to allow. There hasn't been a meaningful action out of those guys since MSFT in the 90s.

    Right now, it's complete and utter regulatory capture by anyone with a big enough bag of money.

  20. Uh, with bitpay, aren't you're just using the Visa payment network? In effect, bitpay just loads dollars into a re-charchable Visa card that they get from converting your bitcoins. One *might* be able to use bitpay to pay for a jet engine, but GE gets paid in dollars, not bitcoin.

    The word "government" appears twice in the posts attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto on that site.

    The word "capital" does not appear in the posts attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto on that site.

    The word "control" appears in 14 posts attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto on that site.

    Not one of the posts revealed by the above searches mentions anything about the purpose of bitcoin being to avoid government capital controls.

    I've NEVER seen anything purporting to be from "Satoshi" that outlines the goals/motivation for the project - other than what's in the first few paragraphs of the seminal paper.

    LOL wut? Where are you getting this from? There is NOTHING in the Satoshi Paper regarding 'avoiding government capital controls'.
