A couple of years ago I worked with VOIP systems utilyzing Edgemark equipment that prioritized voice traffic. They must have gotten swallowed up as I can find no current info on them. Telverse was the vendor (now level 3)
I'm not giving up my copper! No way! It is protected by law. And it is more insecure than most any other form of communication. But has a high degree of reliablity. So I'm sticking to it.
Big buisness is who wants VOIP cause they want to get rid of the expensive telcom infrastructure and gain a higher degree of control.
This has been M$ stratagy from the start. M$ has not invented anything, they have wrestled IP from the marketplace by throwing it's weight around. I think about the number of small companies M$ has fucked over to get what Bill wants, and then I try to think of one company that has gotten the best of Bill. It's sad. Now that things have slowed down M$ has the audacity to offer it's "SPARE" IP to try an whip up some new activity. They should give it away to atone for their bullying the market.
In the article, he actually confesses that he has 'been a Mac fan [his] entire life.' Interesting, considering some of his criticism of Apple's work in the past."
Why is this interesting?
Is it possible that there are 2 people in this world who don't lie?
I'm sick of the lies.
One of the biggest problems with this world are the lies told to us repeatedly on a daily basis. Every day I get 100 emails telling me lies, I turn on the TV and for 20 min of every hour I am lied to, I pick up a newspaper and it is full of half truths and innuendo. After 50 years of this my bullshit detector is pretty much overloaded.
How do you separate the lies from the truth? Maybe he is lying about liking Tiger?
Let me just give the RIAA the keys to my car and house and have all my pay checks directly deposited to them. They certainly are in a better position to decide what I should do with them.....
Your colo provider should be the target of your ire, not MAPS.
If you chose to do buisness with folks who are not adamant anti-spammers the chances are greater that you will be impacted by the results of their policy.
I have been kicking spammy ass for years and unless something has changed at MAPS they are on target. They do not list IP's arbitrarily, they only get listed after failure of responsible parties to take proper action.
If your colo has policies they might need an enlightening communique regarding their lack of enforcement of said policies. Let your money do your talking, take your business to someone who does....
Spam Sucks and what sucks even more are irresponsible providers who allow the filth on their systems.
But MS does not diferentiate between pirated copies in commercial use and copies for personal use or testing or Demo's. It seems rediculous to leave those machines out in the cold with no protection from trojans or back-dooring. Not that folks with legitimate copies actually keep their machines patched.....:>)
This has little to do with the election or who won the debate. This is a treasonous act intended to sway congress and the American public to fulfill someone's agenda.
Maybe they won't!
It would be a hell of a blow to M$.
(although I don't see them doing it)
I only need one brain cell to watch cartoons and it's obscured with a canabis haze or I'm half asleep on saturday am anyway....

Give me a list of all the protected files so I can search my all machines for them.
Isn't that why you compile your own kernel?

Won't there be a huge electrical potential at the earth end of the rope?

Despaminator
"preventing political bribery"
This will not prevent bribery, it just cuts the little guy out of the loop the big boys want to protect.
I've sat in front of many monitors for many years and have not suffered any ill effects.
But I always have my tin foil hat on...
That the mother of all software companies drove a wedge into that deal.....?
Lie Cheat Steal = Profit
Just cause everyone else is doing it?
Hmmmmmmmm......
If it's headlights are on, will it be able to see where it's going?

They're just human batteries powering the corporate machine!
RickB {they just keep on going}
And the lack of code that would run on it.

Novell linux finally got me over the initial hump of abandoning windows. My printer even works!!!!

RickB
So the next step will be that I can't hang up on a telemarketer without violating his right to free speech!
