Here! Here! I don't need some marketing dickhead ramming the latest and greatest web browser down my throat. I started using Firefox when I heard it was good and the pain of IE became more than I could bear. I continued to use Firefox when I switched to a MAC til the pain of the way it worked became too great. I believe the memory problems exist on the MAC platform as well. I switched to Safari after I augmented the RAM on the MAC as it was way slow until that point. I now only fire up Firefox when I wish to browse a website that Safari does not render properly. For some reason it doesn't handle Java? pulldown menus properly and probably the same issue does not work on my bank site.
I don't need the latest version, until the memory problem has been addressed, I won't even bother to download or RECOMMEND it. I guess the marketing dickheads don't care about these importand issues or don't leave their box on long enough to experience the problems.
So FireFox will continue to remain my backup browser. Why can things just work? Hey! Dickhead! Spend the cash on making it work the marketing end will take care of itself. Oh! I See! But then since you are not needed you will have to go back to selling used cars.......

What I fear is that a point of diminishing returns is going to change the face of the economy, as we see happening now with the shift overseas. This falls right into the hands of the Asian culture, who have lived in a militant, overcrowded, caste society for many many years. Consumate ass kissers, with the patience to see the long term goal and forgo the short term cost to the family, the environment, the soul, and the quarterly bottom line to preserve and expand the family holdings. The price they pay for failure is to fall on their sword. Instead of Hari-Kari, an American corporate officer who shits on his brain pool, hard workers, and stock holders and created a stort term gain, but has slowly strangled his company's economic future, is rewarded with a fully inflated golden parachute and considered a visionary when he sells the company for a record profit. To compund this blow to the American economy the company that purchases the over-valued company rapes and strips the purchase leaving all but the key components in the dust bin and moves more overseas as it tightens it's reins to adjust for the cost of the purchase. History repeats itself, we all know what happens to an entity who winds up relying too heavily on another entity. The puppeteer becomes the puppet and when the shoe is on the other foot where does that leave the American worker? He has not made enough from his labors to build a moat around his castle, so he is cast out as a slave to whatever means of existance remains. So go ahead and chain your wagon to that horse, but what are YOU going to do when the wagon master has eaten the last carrot and asks you for more cause the horses won't move without a carrot? They are spammy shitstains. I had to threaten them with legal action to get off their mailing list. Then found myself back on it and had to jump through the same hoops to get removed again. I never even recieved any product from them. Ordered a DVD player from them for a christmas gift (well in advance), it got back ordered twice after being shown in stock for the original order. then the bastards mail bombed me with crap for months and played spammy games to get removed. I fart in TigerDirect's general direction.
Because if they didn't gun makers, knife makers, screwdriver makers, car makers, etc., would all be liable for any deaths involved with the use of their product.
What will Longhorn be when it is finally released. A bunch of DRM shit? More M$ Network offerings? A new search (Google works fine)? What will be the "Value Added"? Or will it be just another stroke in the "painting users into a corner" canvas?
