    Due to my age.

    I think they dump my resume due to too much experience, and not enough in the new technologies (that you won't be taught in school).
    Probably also because my manager might be younger and less experienced than me and see me as a threat.
    There is also the fact that due to my experience they may not see me as mold-able as a young eager to please "I'll do anything" Newb.
    They probably don't want to waste their time pitching me for a substandard wage and working conditions that they know I won't be happy with.

    Find a niche,
    I am retrofitting old cars with new fuel injected motors and building my own Electronic Engine Controls
    and rebuilding old Harley's

    I don't believe they feel that the phone belongs to you until the contract is fulfilled.
    But wouldn't that be covered by the contract?

    Personally it seems that if the carrier wishes to maintain control of a device they can't charge you for the device (or write off it's giveaway cost) until the contract is fulfilled. Why do the big spenders get their cake and eat it too, this decision is clearly biased and not taking into account all the angles that are getting played. The carriers are double dipping.

    And WTF is LoC doing interpreting law? That I am sure is a judicial matter.

    It would allow me to access the full capabilities of my handheld, instead of the crippled giveaway shite they now have.
    Their walled garden and practice of disabling Features and then charging monthly fees to enable them would end.

    The only way that would ever happen is if the whole industry shifted to an open model and they lost market share.
    Until someone comes along the an open plan and a competitive network, to get the ball rolling.

    I would gladly pay retail for my own handset and escape the crippled device and exorbitant fees.

    It takes a human to make them unsafe.

    In a crisis I want my gun to fire every time I pull the trigger.

    My sidearm has a de-cocker and can be dropped or even thrown with a round in the chamber safely.

    Say we are in a crisis situation, both pinned down behind cover, I don't have a shot, but you do.
    You have been shot in your dominant arm (or handicapped one armed) so you are unable to fiddle with a weapon.
    I can safely throw you my weapon with a round in the chamber ready to shoot, you can pick it up and shoot with no delay.
    Try that with some electronic gizmo......
