Maybe I'm just old and bitter, but whenever I visit something like the Underdogs I see too many things that shoulda been picked up, but died on the vine (or even off the vine).
I got FS2 from there one time, way back. Now it points you to the Interplay store. Guess what? No more FS2, anywhere.
I suppose, but how often is that *really* used? I think I've used it once, despite enduring Outlook since it's introduction.
I used to work with Lotus Notes though. I loved it, though it wasn't about either e-mail nor calendaring. It was awesome for unstructured data + replication + RAD.
I am like you. Mail.app does a great job of blending multiple accounts into one inbox, yet letting you differentiate. Junk mail controls are pretty good too.
Safari is just OK, though. I'd like to be able to change the toolbar, and edit MIME types though. Other than that I still click on it for surfing, since it's very quick and the tab handling is quite good.
Or just release the rights for it. There was a fan-written D4 in full-swing, but got canned by Interplay+Parallax. From what I understood, it was well along too.
You need to get to Future Shop - $12-15 for bigger distribution stuff. I got the new Crush CD on a lark for $10 at Costco.
The only $20 CDs I would buy anymore are 'special stock', Some of the Telarc 20bit jazz stuff is ASTOUNDING, and worth the OVER $20 that CD places will charge you. (Oscar Peterson/Ralph Moore). I shelled out a few loonies for some Eric Johnson stuff and haven't regretted it at all -- that's over the border though.
I wouldn't buy those CDs without knowing VERY WELL what was on them though. For the $10 ones I'd risk it.
Correction: "Any web developer worth his salt writes raw HTML and CSS"
CSS is the only way to keep your sanity when you're writing a lot of pages. And the best way to keep pages clean and maintainable is to do it in a plain text editor. (A smart one though, like jEdit)
Or do you have too much time on your hands to put accursed FONT tags around every morsel of the web page?
And yes, I do this professionally.
P.S....I couldn't say "in the raw" with a straight face. And may Eric forgive me for using bold tags.
I think 9 was "The Search for Any Reason to Have a Face-Stretching Machine"
Which means Nemesis shoulda been 9.5, to stick to the even-numbers rule...
You're probably right about 1...
But as for 2 & 3... absolutely. (I still enjoy the fact that Andromeda doesn't appear to have any energy shielding)
I would enjoy seeing your version a lot more than any likely ST XI, I think...
I think you can safely replace one of the "techno speak thingies" with the main deflector dish.
Do they have more than one deflector dish? Do they TYPICALLY use it for deflecting anything, or do they only jury-rig it to deflect things?
We need someone to dig out the technical specs like they did in Galaxy Quest.
coLinux, Bochs, VMWare. Run WinXP, a few flavors of Linux all at the same time.
Plus you should have SNES9x or something of the sort in the corner!
...or get a free one from Novell... ...or download the ISO and almost upgrade to pro without having to wait for the mail... :)
Yeah I remember this on Commander Keen too, he would turn and shrug his shoulders at you, check his watch, and even sit down and start reading a book!
More recently, I think it's Rayman 3 (on the PS2 at least) where he starts to use his body as a hacky-sack if you dally too long.
Nice try, but maybe the second link would have been relevant?
I wasn't that impressed with the iSync team... maybe I didn't try hard enough...
This is why they make so many cheesy movies. Somebody likes each one. I enjoyed Oscar!
"She has such nicely rounded dipthongs"
of course, I also enjoyed Johnny Dangerously 'way back...

Hear hear brother.
However, the saddest thing is they DIDN"T abandon Descent, they're gonna drag it down to the grave with them.
I wish they'd-a left their claws out of the "D4" fangame, it was looking sweet
Not everyone is missing that, just the moderators.
Best comment in the list.

I'm kicking myself for replying to the Quick Brown Fox thread above. You deserved some positive moderation for this one, and I blew it.
Personally, I still can't even see why a calendar/task list and an e-mail client belong in the same package...
My two more efficient favorites:
Waltz, nymph, for quick jigs vex Bud.
Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs.

Heh with the all CAPS my first thought was that UNDO was another acronym.
Hey, it's got a SOLID collision engine already...

Info here and here.
Sigh. Coulda been.
Lest we forget that Fred Flintstone was accused of being the notorious piano thief "88-fingers Louie"...
If it takes you more than two minutes to install a preferred editor you really need a stern talking to.
Uh no, here in Canada, $20 is EXPENSIVE.

Too true, too true...!
...heh heh...scratch...
Thanks for the reminder, we poultry need to stick together.
Actually, it's Canadian, and therefore un-American :)
I tried using that as a selling point where I work - "The HQ is only about an hour and a half from here!". Still chewing on that.
EditCSS is what you're looking for. Awesome tool.
While you're there you definitely want Web Developer an UNBELIEVABLY useful tool for diagnosing complex pages.

Yeah, would you be interested if they didn't support gopher?
