I'm doing it with windows right now. Look for dvd decrypter. Make iso's of your dvds. Load them with daemon tools. I plan to shrink most of them to 4 GB at some point with dvdshrink.
The tools are no doubt available on linux too. 300 GB would hold almost 100 discs.
There are other reasons to use mozilla, for instance the lack of security holes you could drive an aircraft carrier through.
I did try crazy browser once, and generally liked it. It was fast, as is IE. The prob was that it didn't look right on my high res monitor with large fonts, and something else I can't remember now. I sent in a bug request or two but it hasn't been updated in like a year and a half....
1. Buy/setup new power system 2. Move systems over one by one 3. Repeat as needed 4. Disconnect old system from power all at once 5. Trash bins out back 6. Proffitt??
I have no doubt your stats are correct, however don't forget that the entire economy has mirrored the trends you describe. Probably most companies R&D and sales budgets are down since 2000.
The real question is, is Novell sinking faster or slower than the larger economy.
Maybe you are right but I have written several apps in python and java, and the ones in py left java in the dust. Much less memory for the runtime too.
The answer is simple, though you wont like it. What is it?
JUST DO YOUR FUCKING WORK. MAKE A LIST AND DO IT. NOW.
Hope that doesn't sound too harsh... I don't wanna hurt your feelings or anything, but it is really this simple.
It is a matter of controling your mind instead of the other way around. Strange thing is, when you follow this advice you will feel _much_ better and have less anxiety worrying about everything you have to do.
Crikey, I was agreeing with you until the "Windows is modern, secure, etc." part. ROFL.
I'd like to see power features work well on linux too and I think they can do it more easily. Give it some time.
Until then turn off yer damn computer when not using it, kooksicle, and save even more power.
WORD !!
What do you guys mean by solid state? Yes, I know what the words mean, but are you referring to Compact Flash or something else?
I guess I am looking for a specific technology to keep an eye out for.
Hah ha, sounds good to me.... all that is crap I don't need or want.
BTW, I have an itanic on my desk right now and I assure you I can install programs (msi even) no problem.
Wav and aiff are usually uncompressed.
Yes, you can use them with compression, but why not just use mp3 (or better) then?
For lossless compression I recommend flac.

Why not drop the 40 or 120 drive?
Duct tape will melt after a while. =)
age of mythology IS 3d =(
uNF?
Well, I don't spend a lot of time reading my own posts, thankfully =).
huh? It does look like one disk. It's called software raid.
If I punch people in the face, can I call that a service, too?"
Only if you charge a reasonable fee.

Ahh, so watching idiots destroy themselves _is_ gratifying.
But... even more so would be a situation where they begged for your return with a raise and huge sign-on bonus.
We've all fantasized about that at one time, I think.
It's not in the bios, it is a small partition that automatically runs their app. Then changes the boot partition to the windows one.
Don't know what os it is cuz I remove the partition first chance I get, and haven't looked. Prolly a dos variant.
and what happened then??? ..... gonna leave us hanging??

So, I'm back to mozilla and happy.
Yeah, this happens to me too on windows. It is why I turn off VM even though I have only 512MB ram.
Agreed. I couldn't tell any difference either.
Also, since I keep mozilla open all the time it isn't too important how long it takes to load.

Hence the legal fund....
Creating a page file on a ramdisk is absurd.
Turn off virtual memory if you have enough ram, and save yourself the trouble.
