Dude, everyone knows that doesn't work - the metal acts as an antenna! If you want to BLOCK the signals, I suggest wearing a hat made of lead. As an added benefit, it's great exercise!
> I'm guessing you were modded 'interesting' so that you would receive a karma bonus - +1 Funny does nothing to your karma.
Wow, I *really* hope people aren't moderating based on that kind of idea. The whole system is designed to make it possible for one to give weighting to funny things if you want to or not, and if people are trying to do 'karmic justice' this way, it's only going to screw up the system. If something's funny, mod it as funny, and don't try to help someone's karma. Karma will take care of itself, I've found.:)
Yeah, that'd be nice if Mozilla had that, but it doesn't quite manage it in all cases. With the advent of tabs, if you have something in a tab that is waiting for a Flash to load (or whatever), it *can* (but not always), completely lock up the entire browser until whatever it is has loaded. I have no idea what it is that triggers this condition, though.
Have you seen the national debt figures since Bush came in? That deficit was gone _before_ 9/11.
>> You don't think the war in Iraq/Afghanistan *really* costs *that* much, do you?
> Which has what to do with NASA?
Someone made the point of funneling money from NASA into aerospace companies. The same funneling that happens with war equipment contractors is the link. Sorry if that was too subtle.
One might even say all NASA seems interested in is transferring government money to Orbital, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Honeywell, Pratt and Whitney, et al. without anything to show for it.
With a Republican in the White House, I'm shocked that someone would say that!:)

Who cares if Samsung's PRAM is in production - it's obsolete! I'll take nonexistent superior technology over available obsolete technology any day of the week. It's so much cheaper that way...
...whatever happened to my old Amiga 500? I wish I knew...
I'm pretty sure I saw it on eBay.
> Pass the aluminum foil please.....

Yep, 640KB and 8gHz. That'd make for an interesting machine. And it could be upgraded to TWO floppies (one 5.25" and one 3.5", of course).
I could fit all that RAM in my L2 cache nowadays with lots of space left over! (just got a Core 2 Duo) Spooky.
ScottyH wins!
And whoever moderated my joke as 'Interesting' must be smoking crack. Geez.
>> Overclocking is cool and all, but [8Ghz] extends beyond what some would perhaps call useful.
:)
> Come back in a decade or two and trying saying that.
Oh, I'm sure noone would ever need more than 8gHz...
I think you have the word 'begin' confused with the word 'continues.'
We're talking volume here - I think you're going to have to go Metric and convert to Olympic-sized swimming pools as your measurement in this case.
Magic Missile should've been invented first! It's gonna take forever for me to get enough experience to get this...
Looks like *somebody* is about to get a visit from Homeland Security...
Much like an errant program shouldn't be *able* to take down a whole system, I don't believe a plug-in should be able to lock up the browser.

Anyone know if this is in the pipeline for FF3? *sigh*
> Yeah, things were so different under Clinton.

That's awesome news - the DC-X showed immense promise - even surviving a mid-air explosion and managing to land (not crash) afterwards, IIRC.
Guru Meditation. Amiga not found.
And only one moron who couldn't be warned by the subject line. Congratulations, you win!
You are so going to hell. ;)
:)
Maybe, but at least I'll have a killer filesystem once I get there.
The IToldYouNotToBotherMeWhenImCodingBitch file system.
Remember when you asked me to tell you when you were being rude and insensitive? You're doing it now.
That movie and Big Trouble in Little China are two of my favourite movies of all-time.
Indeed!
WHERE ARE WE GOING?!
"Calling Sky Captain. Come in, Sky Captain."
Can't wait. This kind of reminds me of that Dr. Who epside with the alternate universe with lots of blimps & dirigibles.
That thing needs a better colour scheme, though. It's not dark and moody enough.
I wonder it they'll ever reenable the docking tower at the top of the Empire State Building?
