    As usual, most here are missing the point.

    Padlocks and alarms don't stop crime, just make it harder, so criminals move on.

    Sky Marshals, armed pilots, reinforced cockpit doors and "soft walls" don't make distructive hijacking impossible, just harder.

    Make it hard enough and terrorists move on (possibly to worse stuff).

    Any lawyer worth his lost soul could shred ebays "magically changing privacy policy" to dust in court.

    Sooner or later ebay will be paying out big settlement bucks (this has probably happened, they just kept it quiet).

    Shit, *I* couldn't put the rats nest (3 PCs, Stereo, TV, VCR, DVD player, router, cable modem, power strips, lamps, kvm, etc.) behind my desk back together in less than a week.

    My wife won't even go in my office...

    Granted, bandwidth is an issue, but could the same be done with video? A very large buffer would be needed. MPG-1 video runs about 10MB a minute, so 256MB of buffer would give better than 25 minutes between spin ups...

    You are all mising my point. I owned an iPaq right after they came out, with a microdrive.

    If the ipod and nomad have a *LARGE*, *INTERNAL* harddrive, why not put one *INSIDE* a pda?

    How long does the battery last in an ipod? No cart needed there.

    I have a GP32 now. It takes SMC cards up to 128MB. Nice, but too small. I want 20GB+.

    You forgot the hard drive. Dammit, ipods and nomads have a HD, why can't *ANYBODY* bring out a PDA with one?

    I want a 400mhz+ XSCALE CPU, lots of RAM, a nice, big color screen and some decent storage (for a lot less than a laptop).

    Games, video and pr0n on the go!

    IIRC, all mini-itx boards have tv-out, along with digital and analog sound, ethernet, an mpeg-2 encoder, etc. They are also nice and small (6.75"x6.75").

    Currently, I have an M10000 mini-itx board installed in a $6 KMart toolbox.

    My plan is to create a much smaller case and make the system into a portable DVD player (plus computer).

    Tiny LCD screens can be had for $100. Has anybody else tried this?

    I wouldn't.

    Yes, the CEO and lawyers are stirring up the stink, but some quarters are leaning toward the possibility that SCO themselves put the "illegal" code into Linux.

    If that is the case, the coder(s) in question either didn't document the inclusion properly or "lost" the docs.

    "Just following orders" didn't work in Nuremberg either.

    It may have been mentioned before, but if I was a SCO employee, I would be scared shitless.

    Talk about "resume stain". Just about *ANY* place they apply after SCO gets flushed, there will be people who will still be pissed about the mess SCO caused. They may get hired, but they will also be hated.

    It may be better to list the SCO time as "minimum security prison" time...

    The french regime has never been concerned with finding WMD. Hell, they provided the materials for a lot of them. To be honest, so did the U.S.

    The french are concerned with making the U.S. look bad and the french look good. PERIOD.

    The inspectors had 10 years. They *WERE NOT* going to find anything. They were crippled by having to play Saddams game.

    I would go into various conspiracy theories about the inspectors not wanting to find WMD, but they are theories only, with no real proof.
