Jeez, aren't any of you people allowed access to sharp items?
Take a razor blade. Carefully slit the shrink wrap on the bottom of the box and remove without ripping. If there is seal on the bottom of the box, cut it too. Remove contents, copy CD, replace contents. Put back shrink wrap and seal, carefully crazy glue back in place. Return for refund. Most nimrods at these stores only look at the top of the box, and just glance at that.
Or, just download off Kazaa, `cause that crap I listed above is too much like work.
Actually, the gp32 has a 32 bit CPU. And stereo speakers.
There is also a partial mame port that runs a few games. I am trying to get started on a full port of an older mame version, but I need to get my hands on a gp32, since the emulator (geepee32), while nice, isn't perfect.
Who has the gp32 at the best price (including shipping to the US)? Play-Asia.com?
I have had MCI tell me that since they were in another state, our state DCL did not apply to them.
I proceeded to explain that if I was on *ANY* DCL, I probably did not want their damn calls. Especially from a total pile of steaming excrement like MCI.
# CPU 32 Bit 133MHZ RISC CPU (ARM9) # Display: TFT 3.5" Reflective TFT LCD(65,536 colors) # ROM 512 Kbytes # Storage SMC(Smart Media Card) # RAM 8MB SDRAM # PC Connection Cable USB Port connection cable # Sound 16Bit PCM Stereo Sound, MIDI support (over 32 poly), 4 Channel WAV Mixing # Definition 320 X 240 Pixels # Power 2 AA Batteries (12 Hours use time between charges) # MP3 MPEG(I,II) Audio Support # Controls 8-Way directional pad (joystick) + Durable 6 key buttons # Wireless multi-player gaming # Internet Connectivity # Online multiplayer game can be played by high-speed Internet connection
It runs SNES, GBC, C64, NES, 2600, etc. emulators, plus Doom and even Quake. Mame and GBA emulation are on the way. MP3 and Divx players too.
IMHO, your loss. In general, you are better off in a criminal trial in the US than in most of the world, and *WAY* worse off in the US in a civil trial. We are the most litigitous(sp) society in history, after all.
He was *STEALING*. You know, *STEALING*. We're not real sure what he stole (since he bought the DVDs), or what he hurt, but he was *STEALING*. You don't approve of *STEALING*, do you?
It seems we are at the "pocket watch" stage with phones. Soon, (maybe) we will have the phone *IN* the watch.
I have seen large watches with FRS radios, cameras, GPS units, etc. built in. Why can't a phone fit in a watch? It looks like the battery could be in the band, using that plastic battery technology the Air Force is working on.
Will a GP32 do? I wish someone in the US would carry them.
The gp32 is as close to an "open gameboy" as exists today.

Unfortunately, I am not Wil Wheaton
Yeah, I don't think Wil has a spelling "problem".
Hey, Taco is a busy guy. He doesn't have time to actually read /.
After all, he has his own mame cab, and all those SG-1 episodes he Tivo'd last night and the new pr0n DVD's came in and...
F' em. Let Bun-Bun have their asses!

Everything kind of looks BLUE for some reason...
That's what you get for running IE.
REAL MEN parse the raw html in their heads and just imagine what the pictures are from the tags.
Wimp.
how do I download the ROM files from my cartridges into the PC?
I was talking about downloading the ROMs from the net. Try p2p (Kazaa has a lot), irc, usenet and ROM websites.
I've considered the GP32, but I couldn't find any native GP32 titles on the shelves of Wal*Mart or Best Buy.
There aren't a lot of native gp32 games and you have to order the ones that do exist. A lot of the GBA games are just ports of older SNES games.
And where does one get the cart readers for SNES, GBC, NES, 2600, etc. games?
If you own the game cartridge, download the ROM files then copy them to an SMC card.
The Gamepark gp32 has a 2.4GHZ RF Module for connecting to other devices.
Frankly, the gp32 blows the GBA away:
# CPU 32 Bit 133MHZ RISC CPU (ARM9)
# Display: TFT 3.5" Reflective TFT LCD(65,536 colors)
# ROM 512 Kbytes
# Storage SMC(Smart Media Card)
# RAM 8MB SDRAM
# PC Connection Cable USB Port connection cable
# Sound 16Bit PCM Stereo Sound, MIDI support (over 32 poly), 4 Channel WAV Mixing
# Definition 320 X 240 Pixels
# Power 2 AA Batteries (12 Hours use time between charges)
# MP3 MPEG(I,II) Audio Support
# Controls 8-Way directional pad (joystick) + Durable 6 key buttons
# Wireless multi-player gaming
# Internet Connectivity
# Online multiplayer game can be played by high-speed Internet connection

Pity the poor Germans. Once they led the world in starch based weapons technology, now they have to play a distant game of catch up.
The Iraqis don't stand a chance against our mighty potato cannon, not to mention our highly intelligent french fry cluster bombs!
I thought one of the main (real) resons to use a modchip was to run pirate versions of xbox games?
Not that I would ever do anything like that (hear me Bill?).
Arrr matey...
And God forbid them having Johnny Cochran armed with a picture of Chewbacca...
Call him David "Lionel Hutts" Boise?
They aren't communists in Norway, they are just plain EEE-VIL! And SATANISTS! And they "laak to eat bibies"! And they're mean to puppies!
Hell, I bet they don't even put "Gnu" before "Linux".
Sarcasm is lost on the young. Why aren't you in scho...wait, it's MLK day! No wonder /. is so slow.

Of course, YMMV.

Stealing is bad, u-kay?
the prosecution can ask to have the original trial declared a mistrial if they can show that the original trial was conducted improperly
Not after the verdict is in. Then, jeopardy is attached.
Jeez, don't you ever watch "Law and Order"?
A zodiac wheel overlaid with a grey alien head.

Hey it may have a spell checker built in!
What's the matter, his wife couldn't give him a "hand"?
Who the hell wants a watch that crashes with the BSOD whenever I ask it to tell me the time!
It must have a color screen.
How many colors would it need to get that shade of blue *JUST* right?
