    The original Lexx, with the blonde chick, was much better. The story had a plot and kind of made sense.
    It had an ending, too.

    There was some nudity and lots of bloody violence. German-type violence, with organs and stuff.

    I saw it uncut, on Showtime. The new shows on SciFi are just dumb.

    Cartoon Network needs to spin the anime to a new Anime Network. They could run pokecrap and hamstertron and such during the day, then more action and adult type stuff later at night.

    You were there when I saw "Signs"? Sounds like it.

    I knew it was trouble when a bunch of damn kids came LEAPING in just as the movie started. The usher marched them out, then led them BACK IN! At least he stood there and made them behave. And told another asshole to turn off his phone.

    The last non-kid movie I saw at a theater was "Planet of the Apes". Wonder why...

    Dell is about to release a 300mhz Xscale PocketPC device for $199. If they put one of these tiny 20GB drives in something like the Dell toy, along with a couple of CF slots and USB/Firewire, I wonder how much they could sell it for?

    Does a CF TV tuner card exist?

    What handhelds truly need is USB master capabilities. IIRC, the ARM chipset supports USB master.

    Wireless has a certain coolness factor, though.

    How about just a drive case (2.5 or 3.5in) that is Bluetooth (or 802.11b) enabled? Then you could add your drive of choice.

    Maybe a bigger version, with a slim dvd drive and a HD bay?

    I love the USB/Firewire drive cases. Record SG-1, transfer it over and watch it during lunch at work for 4 days...

    IIRC, some handheld scanners had a wheel that you slid along the page. The speed the wheel moved controlled the scan.

    No. There are small magnetic fields all over the inside of a PC (fan motors, clocks, currents on the board and through cables, etc.).

    Aluminum foil works great when battery terminals will no longer make good contact. Just fold or wad it up and poke it between the battery and terminal.

    Most people here would buy the $50 mouse that lasts for years instead of the $5 mouse that lasts 6 months, yes?

    You must not have kids. I pick up a couple of cheap mice and keyboards at every computer show.
