You were alert and trusted your instincts. Phishing would be a lot less powerful if more people acted the way you did.
I actually had a similar experience to what you described in my fore-mentioned folly. It asked for my SecurID code which the normal intranet site didn't. It was at the end of a long day and my brain was too toasted to raise a red flag.:)
Some of the modding sites sell that fabric you can line the inside of your case with for noise reduction. Does this stuff actually work, and wouldn't it have an insulating effect?
As a seperate entity, they will be forced to take more risks, forcing them to innovate more. Combined with TW, they could afford to stagnate alot longer.
I look forward to seeing what shifts in company direction come out of this. Right now they are just playing catchup in all areas with the real innovators in the industry.
Which can also accept Outlook meeting requests. Plus it works from any browser.
Microsoft's big secret Web 2.0 push is to copy everything Google does?
OIC!

That should have read, "Phishing works because even tech savvy people are sometimes stupid and frequently lazy."
I was caught by a phishing scam once at my old company.
An email was sent out that looked exactly like an official email and was linked to a page that looked exactly like the employee intranet page.
I let my guard down just a tiny bit and got snagged.

Garriot has been so influential to game development, it's good to see that he is still going strong and working hard to push things even further.
:)
It's also nice to see a company make the very tough decision to abandon a project and start from scratch.
I had high hopes for Tabula Rasa, and my hopes have now been reaffirmed. Thanks Mr. Garriot
Fuck tux up his faggot asshole.
I post a legitimate viewpoint and get modded down. Go fuck yourself linux fags.
And that's why Gmail still says "BETA" at the top.
Will artificial gravity negate the effects of zero-grav on bone density?
Cool. It would be neat to make a machine virtually silent using this method.

Without having seen the first season (yet)?
I've heard nothing but good things about this show and I want to start watching it!
One little mention of broadband over the power lines (BPL)?
Interesting since Google just made a huge investment in it.
AOL also open sourced the modified version of Midori/Mobile Linux it used on the Gateway appliance.

Since when did nerds need a reason to do something nerdy?
This is Slashdot!
For a second I thought it said "Mangina."
You are.
Fire yourself and hire some new writers that don't hash the same tired stories and ideas.
Will the changes in Earth's rotation affect it as well?
He mentioned he liked the MMO offerings from Blizzard, claiming that they were more far reaching that previous MMOs.
Garriot 4 Life!
I would be VERY surprised to see EA not have some sort of similar EULA on UO. We're talking about EA here.
Blizzard still effectively shut it down. It wasn't tested in court but I am willing to bet that they would win if put to the test.
Lawyers w/lots of money is a pretty scary sight.
This is pretty much the same thing as the battlenet emulator that Blizzard killed, is it not? Why hasn't EA shot it down?
I really hate this argument. 500 GB is alot but with:
- Digital video editing
- Digital photography (7MP+ soon to become the norm)
- Music
- Movies (Porn)
- Games taking up multiple GB
In a few years it won't be enough.
Emotionally crippling, more like financially tripling, am I rite?
