You also don't seem to understand that a pointer and a reference are the same thing
THIS! Why do they still keep teaching us in CS that pointers and references are different things? Look at the compiled output, looks like the same thing to me.
I know debugging templates in c++ can be challenging for a rookie, but at least they/are/ debuggable. I'd like to see someone trying to debug some of those crazy macros... Talk about read-only code!
How does this work with inflation? In 20 years time, if you don't get any raises, you're essentially earning a fraction of what you were when you got hired - to not be earning less, your employer should keep up with inflation.
It's nothing to do with software. It's to do with a combination of the time delay from user input to seeing the results, and inaccurate tracking/no positional tracking.

"this nauseous account of a court case"
It's derogatory because they prefer you to talk to them in their semi-french made up bullshit speak, even when speaking English...
But speaking English in Quebec is a pretty dumb idea if you don't want everyone asking you: "Why aren't you speaking ***FRENCH***? You know you're in QUEBEC, RIGHT?" Yeah? Why aren't you speaking Inuit, you hypocritical frenchy-french dickweasel?
Yeah, you're right... They are completely incomparable! iTunes is 100000 times worse than anything that comes with Windows. Just having the iTunes/iPos service running (application closed) means your computer uses up about 75% of your available resources.
I suffer from mild ASD, and I could tell that the other kids knew I was different. Although I can mostly hide it now (I think), it's obvious that some people can still instantly tell. It's not fun when no one will talk to you at school because they can tell you're different. But even I, extremely lonely with no one to play with, thought the home-schooled kids were too strange and didn't want to hang out with them.
So do you really want your kids so messed up that not even lonely outcasts will want to hang out with them, just so you can tout higher than average grades around at your friends?
What moron up-voted you for that moronic excuse for a reply? It doesn't address my concern about using UDP packets in a neural network, and then goes on to explain their future work which has not been completed, isn't part of the work they DID, and is barely even mentioned in the article at all.
CurryCamel: "dfjhbgaerlkngdegibugfn, rfgipojfgnjdfkjgn, dskjdfhg, i like pie!"
Moron: "Oh yeah, that's the shizzle, I need to up-vote that nugget of brilliance."
"The model is accurate in its connections and makes use of UDP packets to fire neurons. If two neurons have three synaptic connections then when the first neuron fires a UDP packet is sent to the second neuron with the payload "3". The neurons are addressed by IP and port number."
My initial comment is 100% valid in that context. The overhead for the UDP communication between neurons is just ridiculous, why would anyone in their right mind try and prototype a neural network in this way unless they have NO idea about what they are doing? This could be done in a thousand other ways (GPIO between simple micros if you want your neurons to be discrete) rather than getting some crazy network protocol working and slowing the whole simulation down... OR get this... you could get any 90's era calculator to simulate a 302 neuron network with out any problems.
User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets between neurons? What the hell are they doing? Neural network != computer network. It's clear they have no clue...
"the fastest solid-state amplifier integrated circuit ever measured."
"Researchers under DARPA 's Terahertz Electronics (THz) program have designed and demonstrated a 0.85 Terahertz power amplifier using a micromachined vacuum tube..."
'Solid-state' was the term invented to differentiate vacuum tube technology from semiconductor (solid-state) technology... Summary is not just wrong, it gets it exactly OPPOSITE this time.
It says this:
"... ruled that the parents of a seventh-grade student may be negligent for failing to get their son to delete a fake Facebook profile."
That means that parents may be liable for not enforcing that their child remove the fake profile after the court asked them to. It does not mean that they are liable for the profile in the first place.
They've started doing this everywhere I think, even if you came from a 5* security check. If you have a layover these days, it seems most likely you'll be security screened again before you begin your second leg. Tough luck if you bought perfume or alcohol in the previous duty-free area, as they'll take that rite off you when they screen you for your layover flight.
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years, I'm not bad, but no matter how much I practice, I can't get my speed up to play fast solos. I've been to a few different teachers, and almost every time there is some new guy, just learning guitar, and they will inevitably be playing faster than me within a matter of weeks or months. Sure, their solos sound shit because they don't have the 20 years of experience in how to make a solo sound melodic, but I am so pissed off that they could do in 3 months what I've failed to do in 20 years.
I do not believe that ANY teacher will ever be able to help me improve my playing speed, and I seriously doubt you would be able to either - playing fast is just not within my set of obtainable abilities.
My guess is that you weren't struck substantially enough, or at all.
A bolt came about 500 meters above my head and it felt like something had hit me even though it was +-500 meters away. The sound was like a gunshot in my ears and it made me scream like a girl and jump across my courtyard.
Your description of a bolt of lightning "bouncing off a building" makes me seriously doubt your claim. What I wold guess happened, is the bolt hit the building and you crapped your pants and went inside.

Try use one of those plastic notes in a machine, especially if its a tiny bit creased... You'd have more luck with a Spocked note.
Besides, I've not seen a paper 5 for months, all I've seen are the plastic ones, where are they getting these paper 5's to Spock?
I thought we were talking about Suppliers shipping bloatware with their *products*... iTunes is REQUIRED if you use you iPod with a PC.

I have NO idea what you just said buddy. Spellchecker maybe?
Have you ever tried using iTunes (to sync your iPod) on a PC?
I wish i could +10 this - something like this or some other nice gesture for the women who planned to spend the rest of her life with you :)

I think you give the general population a bit too much credit. Have you watched the news lately? Or spoken to anyone...?
Not all muslims are terrible people, but coincidentally, they're terrible muslims...
