There's a distinct difference between murder and killing.
You see, this is two-faced to me. Maybe I'm a simple minded peon? Or maybe I'm more moral than God because I think killing people for their beliefs is wrong. Strange times.
God ordered the Israelites to kill the people in the promosed land because they rejected God and did what was evil. There was no hope of their turning to doing what was right, and God knew that the only outcome of leaving them alive would be to draw many of the Israelites away from God.
Well, I never heard of any 'did evil' bit, only that they didn't worship God. Seems a little unfair to me, but hey, He's your God, if you think it's OK for him to order you to kill other people, that's cool too. Well, actually, it isn't, but at least you're (prolly) a long way away from me.
Yes the Bible details acts of evil as a tool such that one can be prepared against it. You'll also notice that God is against such sinning.
Hmmm. I think you may need to read some of it again.
Try the bit just after God giving the ten commandments (including the famous "Thou shalt not kill") to Moses, when the Israelites were commanded to enter the valley of the Canaanites and kill everyone there. Seems to me God was being a bit two-faced there, and I've never understood why more Christians and Jews don't notice it...
...when you've found the shift key and learnt how to use apostrophes, I may take notice of your opinion. At the moment it's so hard to read that I got the impression you were twelve and gave up.
The code sample you give would have to be put on the server by a server admin which is, as you say, common practice.
The code described in the article runs in the browser which thinks that the current page and XmlHttpRequest response are from the same server (standard XmlHttpRequest security number 1), but in fact they are not. That's the cheat. Combined with a proxy server, that means that a page served by www.attacker.com can access data from www.victim.com, which should never be permitted.
Nope, you're wrong. So the only job he could take was one which he knew involved him being paid to piss off many, many people. Does that mean it's OK to do it? No.
I am a database architect, and I will not employ you based on the above. Closely tied GUI and storage is a bad, bad, bad idea.
Storage should have a *business* API implemented for it, and a separate GUI which generates calls to those APIs. All business logic should reside in the storage layer.
You are doing it wrong. Worse, you're doing it in Access, heh heh. I get paid quite well for getting rid of Access databases and re-implementing them in proper API form. Then the business puts the front end of its choice over it - JSPs, web services, messaging systems, whatever.
Count me another one... got bored of it after about sixteen years of getting stoned every single night. That's a few Js every single night for sixteen years, then I just stopped with no problems doing so. FYI, the only effect I noticed was EXTREMELY vivid dreams for a month or so.
I'm still earning lots, still considered damn clever... still got an ego the size of Madagascar;-)
I use p-2-p as a post-hoc VCR. Adverts don't work on me (really: I just don't pay any attention to them at all and got dropped from a marketting research project because I didn't remember seeing any).
Frankly my perspective is "if they broadcast it 'free-to-air' then they have given it away". Telling me that I have to give it back is bullshit. If you don't want me to have it, don't give it away, sell it on a download-only or subscription basis.
Turns out to be a little more difficult than you might think to create 'pretty' SuDoku. A 'proper' SD is rotationally symmetric and should have 20-28 cells filled at the start. Mine are down to about 31 for asymmettric and 34 or so for symmettric. It is, shall we say, an 'interesting' problem.
The difficulty of making a decent interface for the phone pales into insignificance.
Didn't I see this done in about 1995? There wasn't a market for it then, and there isn't now. People want their MMORPG character to move via a keypress from the comfort of their sofa, in their own home.
I love that you got modded up anyway. We all know some slashdotters don't RTFA before posting, but I'm flabbergasted they don't RTFComments before modding them!
Tell that to the fig tree!

If the government could order someone executing for not worshipping htem, you'd have a point...

Reminds me of the bash.org snippet:
"What does whiter than white mean?"
"#GGGGGG"

Frankly it looks like the Millenium Falcon to me...
"A long time ago, in a galaxy far^H^H^H quite near here actually." ;-)

Is that true?

Please don't feed the troll. He's been cut-and-pasting that exact script anywhere vaguely relevent for a while now.
Cheers,

Wonder if he's being paid for this or if he's just a dick.

As far as I can tell from the fanboys, it's either PHP or Python.
Hope that helps ;-)

I will. I don't respect Bill Gates for his philanthropy.
I appreciate it, but when you're as rich as Bill is, it costs you nothing on the personal scale to give away even those vast amounts.

You don't work for NASA risk management do you? ;-)
