No, there are two contributing factors to a stall: AoA and airspeed. When a stall warning sounds, you can't instantly increase speed, but you can very quickly decrease AoA by pitching down. Usually speed then increases and the problem is solved. The absolute worst thing you can do on a stall warning is give pitch up input. This will almost instantly increase AoA further and cause airspeed to drop. The higher AoA will also generate much more drag, further decreasing airspeed. In a deep stall, the drag is so high, the engines at 100% thrust will not be able to increase airspeed.
Firstly, it is of course an emotional thing. People respond emotionally to harmless creatures that are hurting. The fact that they are our species and maybe even relatives makes it stronger.
Secondly, a hospital is a hard environment to be in. The fact that children often don't understand what is happening to them makes for a devastating experience. It's weeks or months or longer being away from your normal environment with everyday people performing what seems to be crude experiments on you often involving pain. There are not much situations I can think of that are worse for a human being than being in a situation of constant pain while not understand what is going on. Toys and games bring back a little bit of comfort. If you are in a hospital, you welcome every bit of attention. If you are not, be very thankful for your health and spend a little to relieve some pain of others that are not so lucky.
Why isn't this a slashdot main feature article? I'm sure this is a lot more important than "OMG Iphone hax0red with 5 byte hack!". This project could use some slashdot attention.
I love this charity and I will surely contribute again, but I can't help but feel a little awkward about the money that amazon is making by offering their goods at full commercial prices. If they would just hand in a little of their profits by offering some discounts for charity, much more could be given to the children.
As I stated earlier, but was modded troll for, I believe these images are shot semi randomly from a car. A GPS device records the location that the image was taken. You'll see that you sometimes get a series of photographs all taken about 20 feet apart. If you look closely you'll sometimes notice a reflection of the car taking the images. Doing it this way will result in a huge database of pictures with little effort.
The GPS locations are then used to lookup what businesses are supposed to be in the area of the pictures and we get the task of matching images with stores. You'll notice that most of the time, the indicated store is not visible, so I think amazon simply tries a set of images untill enough people report that the store is visible on one of them.
What amazon tries to achieve is anybody's guess. I believe they are building a database of photographs of store fronts in the indicated areas, but the stores that come up sometimes seem to be so small that it would probably never pay amazon for this service.
Has anybody noticed that amazon is trying to build a database of storefront images? It looks like they have cars driving around taking random shots and storing the images with GPS coordinates. They then look at what businesses should be around and present this information with some random driveby shots to ask us if the business is on the picture.
I even got a photograph that clearly showed the car taking the photographs reflected in a window.
Not sure what this information is worth, but it seams they are building a database of storefront photo's.
Yes, the iPod plays unprotected music, but what mainstream site sells them? Ofcourse we have allofmp3 (which I buy my music from), but I'm talking about true mainstream large retailers (wallmart, msn, yahoo). The average consumer in possession of an iPod has no choice other than Apple's store.
The fact remains that Apple is deliberatly restricting consumers options. They are free to license WMA for their iPods and they are free to let competitors license their DRM. Both would increase consumer freedom considerably.
I'm sorry but who is that company again that develops a portable music player and also opened a music store that is the only choice to buy music for customers who bought their player?
And who is that company again who markets a music store and also developed a portable player that is the only choice for customers who buy music at their store?
If Microsoft would do that, everybody would be raising hell. I'm not a fan of Microsoft but Apple's business ethics are just as commercial as Microsoft's. They're both in it for the money and will do whatever nessecary to maintain their monopoly.
I don't think law enforcement dares to come close to this guy. He shoots 35mm. No wonder he needs more than 4 packs. I would recommend bringing it down to 9mm at most. A silencer and a scope would be recommended too.
No you're missing the whole point. Jesus called and said he didn't exist. It's not the original poster who claims Jesus doesn't exist, but Jesus himself. You also forgot to mention what Jesus said on the phone. He said you shouldn't blame God on what goes wrong in your life. Your review should at least mention this.
4. DRM is DRM. Apple's is less restrictive. Try and find any music service with that range with zero DRM. I'll take the one that I can use in iTunes and burn to CD as many times as I want.

The problem with the spreading of the iTMS is the huge precedent is sets for future spreading of DRM. The masses are lured into buying DRM'd content without knowing what they're getting into.
Now before people tell me that there wouldn't be any digital music shop if it weren't for DRM, I'll have to add that this is all about negotiations. If you're big enough you get to set the rules. That's how Wallmart was capable of getting their content for less than Apple. If Apple is so innovative, let them fight this DRM with all they have to show the RIAA that digital DRM-less distribution is feasible. They have the largest market share now, so they must be able to get a better deal but all I see now is the fairplay restrictions getting tighter instead of looser.

That GUI was a standard GL demo on every Silicon Graphics workstation. It is called "buttonfly" and it's basically a 3d file manager. Nothing special about it.
Yes, it does look like Lisp, but people often forget that XML does too. XML/JSON is just Lisp in a different syntax.
There's nothing wrong with Lisp. It's one of the most underrated languages today. Programmers today start their eduction learning Java, OO, C and other modern stuff without looking at the foundation of modern computer science. I love the way Lisp can be used to have self contained pieces of code with minimal side effects.
Allofmp3 offers you the choice in what format you would like to have your music. You can get mp3, ogg, wma and flac. So yes, they do offer lossless music. I'd rather support the russion mob than the RIAA mob.

Lock On is not a flight sim. Try Black Shark without a full keyboard, a flight stick and a photographic memory.

Dude, you have money for all that, but don't have money to fix your keyboard?
All religions contain only circular references and as such, are eligible for garbage collection.

You could have gotten most for $0.10 in any format without any drm

The fact that they haven't been convicted like MS doesn't mean that they are any more ethical. They have already been sued in Europe:

That's fine, then you pay with paypall like I did. Paid $10 and have downloaded over 10 albums already.
