This is your first step towards becoming an aug. Soon you'll be forced to save the human race from the very man who inveted this technology (and eat a lot of candy bars along the way.)
These types of EU processes seem very convoluted to an outsider, as lawmaking processes often do. Can somebody give me a flow chart or a UML diagram? Or even pseudocode is fine.
Why *shouldn't* the internet be a right? Is there some compelling reason we should restrict our civil liberties instead of expanding them to meet the reality of today's world?
You could read Wikipedia but the short answer is that it's a file hash, meaning there's no centralized server; just a description of the file that can be downloaded automatically from various decentralized file sharing networks.
"...you shouldn't expect any to ship in the next six months to a year."
And? She never said Ubuntu tablets would be on sale tomorrow.
Tablets are still a new thing and they don't seem to be going away anytime soon. As long as the market still exists a year from now, they Canonical has plenty of time to hammer out OEM deals (if they haven't already.) There are desktops, laptops, and netbooks sold with Ubuntu pre-installed. As tablets become a commodity item I don't see why they'd be any different.
...this still doesn't make up for IE6.
...when someone might hijack a train and crash it into a skyscraper.

Betteridge's Law of Headlines is an adage that states, "Any headline which ends in a question mark can be answered by the word 'no'".
If caring about the well-being of your employees is "taking sides," then there is something very, very wrong in this country.
Is that really a bad thing? What kind of person would want to work at a company where the corporate culture embrasses bigotry?
Quit copying Google, and get some original ideas, Microsoft.
(Seriously though, more companies should be fighting for their employees.)

Initech has had trouble finding people who can write bank software lately, especially after their building burned down.

Yesterday's news about yesterday's companies!
I'll finally be able to see the dust in the back corner of my cubicle!
...that says more about *you* than the female sex.
Yes, that's what happened when I tried to submit the story. That's why I removed the accent.
If I'm not mistaken, EMule has accepted Magnet links for years. So did EDonkey 2000. So have various Gnutella clients.
Those very same Manget URIs on Pirate Bay will work with any of those existing file sharing clients.
What the hell is a Magnet URI?

Considering how many Macbooks I've seen at coffee shops lately, that might not be far off.
Being alone doesn't mean I'm more productive -- it could mean I'm spending all day posting on Slashdot.
Are you trolling, or horribly confused between domain names and IP addresses?

I'd say the real threat to Mandriva is Mandriva itself.
This story has been photoshopped. You can tell by the pixels and the smoke coming out of the track.
Was this Judge Honey Badger, by any chance?
If it ain't broke, why fix it? It's not like I'm running a nuclear reactor at home on my XP box.
Vigalante justice is a libertarian principle now?
