For those that don't know, KDE is a graphical desktop environment used to access your computer's files. Finally, Mac users have a free (as in speech) approach to their filesystem.
Is this an all-time low for a slashdot article? I can't imagine how it can be beaten.
Yes, and for those of us using "Light" slashdot version (it's in "Preferences" - white background etc, _much_ easier to read IMHO) now it looks like a buttload of shit. $(SUBJ). Will it be fixed?
I'd use Opera instead of FF (I guess) if it had better ads blocking options. Maybe now, that they removed their own banners, including some ad-blocking options would not look hypocritical anymore.
Hmm, not so if you learn to leave a proper loop (of cord) in front of your mouse. Yes, it is a habit about as hard to learn as lifting and moving your mouse when you run out of desk surface.
Have to say sorry to other/. readers - I've spent unproportionaly large time span reading this comment and wondering what mods smoke. I mean - sorry, because while I was reading it you poor fellas were blocked from reading it and waiting in the queue, right?
Excuse me while I bang my head on the desk... Should _everything_ mention Linux??? WTF - every card you can stick into your PCI, USB (and I guess AGP) slot you can equally well stick into your Mac. And I think they would have drivers for Mac _ready_ then. At least for mediumly popular hardware. I know that many driver disks I've seen had Mac drivers. Or PPC Mac drivers won't work on Intel Macs?
PS: While you are at it - please port ReiserFS to Mac/BSD/NT. I know that it'd be hard.
Actually it's several islands and it's not that "compact". Its area is close to California and a tad larger than Germany. Unlike California though it does not have large forest/desert areas and unlike Germany it is more stretched (North to South). I don't think low-orbit satelites would work.
Yes, I heard they have already scheduled deathtronauts' spacewalk to cut dangling rags from the beam focus. Let's also hope two missing tiles from it won't lead to spectacular self-destroy salvo.
Low-level Canon pixma's still use BCI24 cartridges. IIRC, blacks sell @ around $5-$6 (but they run out rather quickly, prolly around 60-100 full-text A4/Letter pages), colours (combined) are @ around $12 and I'm sure I get no less than 100 4x6" prints from one (which is quite good IMO). These are genuine built-in-Japan Canon cartridges. Maybe not quite dirt cheap for a plastic box with ink(s) but compared to competition pretty reasonably priced.
I'll give you an idea (heck, moderation is broken anyway, so what the fuck):
- Figure out the URL for comments submission form. - Wait till a new story comes up. When it does it usually has a "Nothing to see..." page. Note the SID and edit the submission URL. - _Paste_ your junk into textarea. - Slowly count to 20. Submit.
Not sure if it works now, but I faintly recall that it did.

Well - for a piece of Apple hardware that seems to be reasonably hi-tec (heck, the whole mouse is just one large erogenous zone apparently) - I wonder how reliable/sensitive/durable is that thing. Less interesting Logitech mice cost more.

I tend to agree that it may be a "massive copyright infringement". As opposed to burning of the said books, for example.
Oh, don't tell me that Mozilla is so pure about it. They even have now document.all['..'] in quirks mode (IIRC).

With what other web development platforms do you have extensive experience?
Hmm, care to name then _one_ (successful) company worth rooting for?
Do you remember that Hitachi flash movie? "I'm just a tinyyy little bit!....". Somehow I did when reading this. Strangely appropriate, huh?
Amen. Posted by AC but surely deserves +5.
Don't forget the sledgehammer!!
Better yet - a flip case mouse with dual color screens and polyphonic tones! And a camera.

"On the positive side, Microsoft does see a future for the chip..."
Sorry, what's positive about that? I guess 99.9% of slashdotters could not care less.

Any screenshots?
Why unplug? Just turn off the ringer. There should be a little switch on the side/botttom of every phone manufactured lately (last 30 years or so).

Bend over Zonk and give MS some hot male love. Can you imagine a more flamebait provoking "article"? And why the "Apple" section?
BT/radio mice require batteries, though. And you don't want your mouse to run out of charge when gaming online or when working on a crunch.
