    why don't you look the numbers up yourself? The FEC data is broken down by recipient so it's easy to tell who got the money.
    So instead of asking "what if" you could go to open secrets, spend 30 seconds of your time, and find the answer.

    They use front companies for that, like Halliburton did under Dick Cheney. They set up a shell corporation in the Cayman Islands and have all the transactions go through the shell corp. This way Halliburton was able to secure contracts in Iran in violation of US federal law.

    There is a nice little documentary out there done by the BBC called "The Power of Nightmares". It's quite an entertaining and informative watch and will answer most of the questions you probably have. However, they don't discuss walking on the moon or some Israeli conspiracy to fuel your strawman.

    "Al Qaeda" means "The base", a shortened form of the phrase "The database", which was the working term used by various intelligence agencies to refer to a collection of various terrorist groups that were connected together in a weird "six degrees of seperation" arrangement. It's been a while, but I believe the term first injects itself into the mainstream ~1998, shortly after the DoJ filed charges against OBL for the embassy bombings.

    Oh my god you are so right. We had this guy who was pledging for our frat so we tied him up, beat him until he shit all over himself, and then left him there. Hahahahaha Then we came back in later and fucked him in the ass.

    We had this other guy who we beat up pretty good. He ended up dying on us when we beat his legs so hard we shattered his leg bones into a pulp. He ended up dying from blood clots going into his heart and lungs. Fuckin pussy.

    It's cool though cause they ate well.

    Looking at the advisories page, ftpd for OpenBSD hasn't required a patch since April 23,2001.

    So ftpd is a very good example how the Net and Open folks have gotten it 'right'.

    Timestamp modulation/randomization is already done on OpenBSD. I think they implemented it ~2 years ago. The timestamp field has been known for a while to be a possible point of information leak. This paper just expands on the idea a bit, but the NAT detection has been known about for quite a while now.

    In pf.conf simply add the following line:

    scrub on $ext_if all reassemble tcp

    and you are good to go.

    I can attest that this works but it is also a pain in the ass because sooooo many places tie you to your ssn.

    And you must have missed the story yesterday where a Democrat was elected because of a glitch in Indiana.
    Read it again.
    The 'glitch' referenced by yesterday's story gave straight Democratic Party votes to the Libertarian Party, thereby reducing the number of votes cast for the Democratic candidate and giving the victory to the Republican. The 'glitch' helped the Republicans (if it had not been caught).

    Drop a fresh OpenBSD installation into a hostile environment such as the internet.
    Drop a fresh WindowsXP installation into the same environment.

    No I want it to do as little as possible. It is ready to serve when I say it is and no sooner. This lets you patch first and not everyone has the luxury of installing a box in a secure network.

    It's suffered the same Apache/SSL/FTP/PHP errors as everyone else.

    More or less, yes, the same problems. Thats why these services are off by default, to let you patch them first, and enable only what you need.

    I know if you search cert for openbsd you get lots of hits, so there are wholes in the applications.

    No one has ever suggested otherwise.
