Cut and paste has been fixed for years. Buttons aren't X's problem. If you have a problem with the button focusing behavior of your desktop, file a bug report.
Only if you own the copyright. As Netscape started the Mozilla project, is a primary developer, and requires each developer to assign them copyright, yes, they can do whatever they want with the licensing. No one else can.
That's where the NPL comes in. Mozilla can be licensed under the terms of any of those four licenses (IIRC), and the NPL specifically gives Netscape the right to make commercial closed-source derivitives.
I *think* it only fetches HTML files (that'd make sense). Even if I'm wrong, note that Mozilla prefaces user prefs directories with a random string (like "asd5Wk28/myusername/cache/"), which makes such hacks considerably difficult.
The kind of people that buy Gateways probably aren't going to know or care what their office suite is. They'll use it for typing the occasional letter to Grandma.
ID3 tags on p2p music have a tendancy to be wrong. A google search turns up those lyrics in about a thousand Ja Rule pages and no Eminem pages that I can see. If it actually is an Eminem ft/Tupac song, it's still not on any of Eminem's albums.
Now, I'm not saying Eminem's songs are squeeky-clean, but they (at least the recent ones) don't have quite that level of violence.
First of all, I believe Wal-Mart only sells edited versions of Parental Advisory albums.
Second of all, those lyrics aren't Eminem - they're from a Ja Rule song called "Fuck You". If you'd ever listened to Eminem, you'd know that that's not the kind of thing he would say.
Third of all, I completely agree that the *marts are being completely illogical and hypocritical.
A PowerMac with dual 867Mhz G4, 4x72gb Ultra160 SCSI drives, a gig of RAM, Superdrive, and dual 17" flat-screen studio displays comes out to about $8000. A fair comparison would be really difficult without more information. However, I'll wager that your machine wasn't particuarly cheap either.

I meant in general, not just for graphics apps. After all, you probably wouldn't be doing anything "special" with the other hand in a 3D modeling package.
There's an unofficial ISO floating around of Debian Woody with the PGI installer. Google for it.

For $4000 you could set up a terabyte RAID array and use it for backup.

It's the exact same license that Mozilla has been for the last year or two - quad-licensed under the GPL, MPL, NPL, and LGPL.

Slashdot already restricts the HTML that you can enter, so prefetching goatse.cx (or any other page) wouldn't be possible.
It's all in the preferences. Under "Tabbed browsing", select "Load links in background" and "Middle-click of links opens a new tab"
Netscape 3 ran quite usably on my old 486-66 with 16MB ram.

Only if you bought a really expensive laptop. I have a $2000 desktop system from 1998, and it barely meets the minimum requirements.
Now, I'm not saying Eminem's songs are squeeky-clean, but they (at least the recent ones) don't have quite that level of violence.
This is slashdot. You can say "shit". You're not going to get in trouble.

People buying a $400 MP3 player can probably afford a $20 FireWire card.

Actually, win2k pro costs $319, and winXP pro costs "only" $299. I find that rather odd.
No it doesn't. Scroll down.

Well... they're not exactly marked toward consumers. That's what I meant, if not what I seaid.
The UltraSparc would be relevant how?
Those aren't 64 bit either. They're 32 bit, and IIRC Altivec is 128 bit.
Just because someone makes an oft-quoted remark doesn't make it true.
Some people type with two hands.
